Frustrating

The room key I was given wouldn't open the door and I had to go back down to the desk with my luggage - twice - the last time I went down they changed my room. The rooms were small but clean. The low point was the bathtub/shower - it wouldnt drain properly and the force of the shower head was way too hard to the point of being uncomfortable. The upside is it's within walking distance of Market Street area.
Hotel OK but wasn't good value for the money

The hotel was not what I expected. Although front desk was friendly and their courtesy van was great, the room was below expectation. It was not only small, but the carpet is old and the bathtub did not drain well, although I repeatedly requested service on the days I stayed there. It only seemed to get worse and the bathtub didn't look well cleaned, considering it drained very slowly. Only one elevator for guest use for more than six floors is also a problem. Overall, I would not stay there again.

My recent stay at the hotel started off nice but ended very badly. We woke up to find a mouse in our room at 5am. We did manage to trap the roden and take it down to the hotel staff. Instead of making a scene, we thought the hotel management would quietly smooth over our stay. We were wrong, they did not even acknowledge the event. We decided to move to another hotel. The moral of the story: the squeaky wheel get the oil.

I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is lovely and the staff very friendly and competent. I needed to move to a handicapped room and they bent over backward to make it happen. The maid even helped me move my suitcases and other items very quickly. When told that I needed a fridge, they got one ASAP. The rooms are very tiny if using a double queen room. The bathrooms are very stylish. The restaurant has the best Greek food I've eaten in years. They allow pets too. I would definitely stay here again. It is a little pricey, however, the location could not be better.

Hotel Lawrence is strategically located nearest to the bus stop, dining (although just 3-4 blocks away, but I enjoyed walking there), and those JFK enthusiast coz this hotel is just two blocks opposite the spot.
