Great Experience!

I have always been a bit hesitant about timeshares, so it was with a healthy dose of skepticism that I followed my wife's advice about going to the Vacation Village at Parkway. Admittedly, even the name doesn't exactly sound glamorous.

We flew down to Orlando last week and followed the directions to the resort. Boy was I surprised!! Although the entrance to the facility isn't exactly spectacular (sandwiched next to the Arabian Knights show place), once we we in the resort I realized this was really a first class facility. We stayed in the smaller of a two unit accommodation, but found it to be exceptionally clean and well cared for. The pool was spacious and clean, within easy access of our room. Parking was a little sparce (there is still construction going on.

We were so impressed we actually bought a timeshare contract - something I swore I would never do. I know there are headaches with timeshares, but if you travel a lot (and we do), it's worth it!

Good Disney Hotel

Positives: #1 - Very close to Disney!!!! #2 - Nice pools. #3 - Decent kitchenette. #4 - Kid friendly #5 - Fairly close fast food and grocery stores. Negatives #1 - Each room off the hall has two separate rooms, designated A and B. The AC is controlled by the A room even though there is a control in the B room so we froze two nights.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!

This was my second time staying at Vacation Village and I plan on staying a third, fourth, you get it....I recommend Vacation Village to everyone!! The STAFF...can't say enough GOOD things about them....they were helpful and friendly!! I LOVE that they provide a van with a driver to take you into Old Town or Publix and when you are ready to return back to the VILLAGE the driver returns to pick you up. I will be returning next month (July) to Florida and I will be staying at My NEW home...Vacation Village. d

Very Clean Property - Satisfied

We traded in our timeshare to stay at this property. Overall, we are satisfied with our stay. The property was very well taken care of and minutes from all the resorts. Parking is indeed an issue. If you travel when we are, in February, you can find parking, just not right in front of your building. The summer might be more of a nightmare. Avoid Arabian Nights. The resort is next door to it, but the show itself is not worth the money. The food is hospital quality and while the skill of the horse riders are excellent, there is no storyline. I miss King Henry's Feast on International Drive. Try to quickly walk by the salesman or saleswoman at the ground floor of your building. They will try to lure you in to get a free breakfast or free gift. They want to waste your day hawking their timeshares. Even though the check-in time is stated to be 4pm, you can check in before then. We got in at 2pm and we took a nice nap after our flight.

Great Location + Layout, Bed Was Very Uncomfortable

The hotel was clean and the layout was great in the one bedroom one bathroom. Our toddler slept in the living room which made it nicer for us because we didn't have to go to bed at 7 PM. The only downside to the hotel was the bed. My husband and I had to sleep on the very edge of each side of the bed or it was extremely mushy. Upon checking in, we heard other guests complainng to the management about the same thing. Being 7 months pregnant, I already have a sore back and the bed did not help matters. My husband also thought the bed was extremely uncomfortable and woke up with an achy back. We would stay again if we could be guaranteed a better bed. Since that guarantee is improbable, we will not be returning to this hotel.
