Don't stay here

Honestly, the hotel rooms are horrible. Staff are uninformed and mis-lead us a few times with information. You'd think since they lived in the area they'd know what and where places were...they don't. The price is one of the lowest in the area, the location is great, right across from the battle fields. But for a little more money you can get a better bed, shower and room which equals more comfort and isn't that what you want on vacation too?... You're going to spend at least 6-8 hours sleeping in that room and if the bed is horrible you'll be suffering the next day...trust me! The shower?...if you'er 4'-11" its the right height...if you're over 5'5" you'll have to bend down to get under the shower head....and the floor floods with water. GOD help you if another person in the hotel uses the shower or toilet at the same time! The bathroom toilet moved everytime it was used...the weather stripping on the outside door was loose, so after we left the room, the door remained opened....didn't realize it until we returned. Oh, and you can bring your dog....Fluffy next door barked all day and into the night until his "parents" returned. We couldn't turm up the TV loud enough to drown out Fluffy's barking...so don't even think about taking an afternoon nap or having any peace and quiet. There are several Hotels as near as this one to the battle fields, like the Quality Inn and Travel Lodge. They looked a lot nicer then this hotel when we walked by. And when we checked out...the front desk informed us that we could have saved alot more if we had called them directly rather than using Travelocity. Hmmmm .... Over all rating on this hotel is an F.

The Right Place

This Inn is right in the middle of all the best shops and dining. You can walk everywhere. The rooms, we found to be very clean and a pleasant surprise was a covered deck area outside of all second floor rooms. It had a solid wall so that we could safely allow our dog to sit outside with us. ( Yes! They allow dogs) The breakfast was well tended and a good selection. We will recommend it to travelers looking for a good place in Gettysburg.

I have never said a bad word about any place we have stayed However, I warn all families to stay away from this hotel. Bugs in the bed, dirty beyond words. Booked 2 nights, tried one night and couldn't get out fast enough. Staff was nice!

Nice Place to Stay

Front desk was extreamly nice and helpful. Made you feel welcome. Hotel is located right next to several fastfood and sit down resturants. Right accross the street from Gettysburg Battlefield visitors center. In walking distance of many attractions and stores. Still give you the small town cozy feel. Also very pet friendly. My pup enjoyed her stay as much as I did.

Great little secret

This place is perfect for quick getaways and week long vacations! The rooms are large and spacey. They could use some updated decorating. The staff was very nice, even at 1:00 in the morning! The location is perfect for everything. Its right across the entrance to the park visitors center and restuarants are surrounding it. All the fun shops are on the same street, just a 5 minute walk. The best part though is they allow pets, one of the few places in Gettysburg that does! So if you want to bring Fido, youd better stay here! I would highly recommend this place!!
