I stayed in alot of hotels, but this one ranks way up there. Exellent location. Very smooth check in by curtious desk help, had to stay in smoking room. but that was the ONLY not so pleasant drawback to the whole trip. Staff so helpful it just made the stay that much better.
Very Good!

Great Experience here! We travel to New Orleans several times a year, and this was one of the best hotel experiences we've had there.
Just make sure to ask for a room NOT adjacent to elevator shaft, as it is quite noisy.
Super Clean, great location, and having a pool in the heat of August was awesome!
Wonderful!!

I doubt I will ever stay at another place in the French Quarter. The hotel was great, the service exceptional, the courtyard beautiful...I loved it!!

For the price, this is a great boutique hotel in the French Quarter and only two blocks from Canal Street. The staff is courteous, and the service is what you would expect from a 3-star hotel. You don't need a car, especially since everything in the French Quarter is within walking distance and the Canal Street trolley cars are only two blocks away. If you need to venture out into other parts of town, hiring a taxi is the best way to go (especially from a cost perspective). The non-smoking room was clean and consistent with other Holiday Inn properties. We did not eat at the hotel, but why would you? You are in New Orleans!
Don't Even Think About Staying Here

We had a GUARANTEED room reservation. When we arrived Monday evening, the desk clerk/manager stated that they did not have our room; they allowed the previous customers to hold over.
The only room available was a smoking-room (we booked non-smoking), with a small bed (we booked a king-sized bed due to my height) dungeon next to the elevator such that we could hear the banging and grinding of the elevator all night.
Upon complaining, to the evening clerk/manager, she stated: "too bad; welcome to the hotel business." If you don't like it, find another hotel.
The daytime general manager apologized for the demeanor of the evening shift manager, but otherwise couldn't have cared less.
The place is just one step above a flop house. Caveat Emptor!
