NOT ON A BET

Reserved and paid extra for a view suite and king bed six weeks before arrival, but "none available" at check-in. Offered a "mini-suite" we found a smaller-than-standard room typically used as the 2nd room to a suite via locked connecting door. Our view was literally the two industrial dumpsters. Bed was a fold down Murphy bed, mattress like a sofa bed, 2" narrower than a queen. We were assured a room change the next day, but again "nothing available." Same bull the third. Each time desk clerks I called said I had to come to the desk to arrange room change, but after lengthy waits through large crowds, they took seconds to tell me no room change was available. After the 2nd night stay when I insisted on a change to a room with a decent bed, the clerk offered to let me check out and go elsewhere without a cancellation fee for the last night. (No, I was belligerent, loud or obnoxious.) When we checked the web site each night of our stay, the Hilton was still reporting the view suites available. We sent a letter to management and received PROFUSE written apologies and a request to call the manager at her "direct line" to arrange "satisfaction." It is always answered by v-mail, all hours, all days. She NEVER actually answers. It took us one month to get a refund reducing our rate to the standard room rate-which STILL would have included a King bed and regular sized room. The casino is tired, the halls are tired, the hotel service seems to be reserved for "important" guests. The room service was superb. Business Center charges for everything other hotels offer free. Your reservation means nothing, and it's as tired as any older airport Hilton.

Didn't like it

I had a very bad hotel stay!!! The staff was terrible and the service was even worse. Even the managers were rude to us!!!!! I would never stay there again....It states that it's on the strip and it's VERY far away. I would've been really upset about that if I wouldn't have rented a car. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Enjoyed my stay at the Hilton. Our room was in the Central tower and we had a lovely view of a golf course just across the street. The room was spacious and decorated nicely. I do think that the room service menu was over priced. The restaurants were good, but still over priced. I liked the fact that you could catch the Monorail there and travel to many other casinos, the best bet is to buy the all day pass. Had a great time, will stay there again.

The hotel is all the way in the end of the strip. The good thing is there have monorail station. So you don't need to take bus or cab to go out everyday. the room is clean and comfor. It was a good trip...................
