We stayed at the Days Inn Atlanta Downtown over the first weekend in April. Most things we experienced were very standard with a Days Inn hotel. Certainly nothing special from the staff or the quality of the room, but that's what we expected. This hotel is in a great location, which allowed us to walk to many of the sites in downtwon Atlanta (CNN, World of Coke, Olympic Park, Phillips Arena). We didn't use the outdoor pool because it was cooler outside, but it didn't look like a body of water I'd want to be in. But again, it provided exactly what I expected. If I'm on vacation in downtown Atlanta again, I would stay there again. It's a very good value for the money.

The distance from the aquarium, New World of Coca Cola and Centennial Park and the low price made it quite satisfactory. Room needed new carpet and chairs but it was clean and neat, the linens were fresh. The front desk at check in and the second day were rather snippy and not friendly at all. But the staff on duty the evening of the second day and on check out were very friendly. It would have been nice to know up front that they charged 15.00 per night to park at the hotel.

The only good thing about the place was the location; close to Americas Mart. There was chewing gum in the floor that you stuck to every time you walked over (right at the foot of the inner bed), a sticker the size of a pop can on the television that had obviously been there several weeks; compacted dirt behind the bathroom door a quarter inch thick. Fortunately when you go to shows, you don't have to spend much time in the motel room. As I said, the ONLY good thing was the location for what business we had. It really was so nasty, the health department should have been called, and I may send them a note about it now that I'm back. For what they charge per night, they really could afford to do a better job cleaning. It also needs to be updated, decor is very drab.

What I would expect of this level hotel. Proximity to the convention center, CNN, the aquarium, great restaurants, and Centennial Park and the low price made it quite satisfactory. Room needed new carpet, some repairs to bathroom plaster, but it was clean and neat, the linens were fresh, the air conditioner did not have a mildew smell. There was a lovely well- mainitained outdoor pool. The staff were helpful. The airport shutle made a regular stop at this hotel; no need to schedule a return trip. The restaurant was closed for renovations; it will be convenient when it opens again.
Try another motel.

Easy walking distance to CNN Center, GA Aquarium, and Olympic Park.Rooms need a face lift. Shower (head) could be used for a removing paint rather than a relaxing shower.Front desk needs to go through soft skills training on how to be friendly to customers.
