Gave Away My Reservation without Any Notice

I have been staying at the Phoenix Inn in Bend, OR for business every other month for approximately 5 years. My secretary reserved my room over a week in advance. When I arrived at 10:30pm, after having driven 3.5 hours to get to Bend, I was told the hotel was full. They confirmed that they had reserved my room for me, but had then decided to give it away. I was informed that nearly all of the hotels in Bend were full that particular night, but that I could drive to the outskirts of town, where there may be an open room at a dump of a hotel. No apologies, no head's up, nothing. So much for 5 years as a customer. Never again, Phoenix Inn.

Great central downtown location. Walk to dowtown, mill towers area, parks and more. Can't beat the location. Very clean and spacious room (2 guys, separate beds). Very fun bars/clubs (Blacksmith & Silver Moon), great breweries (Deschuttes), great food (Typhoon for Thai & Rigaberto's for Mex, Deschuttes Brewery was great too). Locals are very friendly and makes for a great atmosphere!!

I had never heard of this chain, but it should be counted among the top chains. And this location in Bend was perfect. It is approximately two short blocks (no more than 250 feet) from downtown Bend. The free continental breakfast was better than most and included self-made (fresh) waffles or previously prepared. The room itself was huge; the room bonuses included real leather couch, L-shaped desk, partition wall, separate vanity from toilet/shower, satellite tv, fridge, microwave, etc. The staff was very friendly and the hotel laid out well. Good luck and have fun in Bend; there is much to do.

Downtown Bend is literally at your footsteps! All you need to do is walk out the door, and down the stairs, to stroll through Bend's charming shops, restaurants and cafes. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the staff was pleasant and accommodating. They serve a nice breakfast buffet each morning with daily afternoon cookies.

Best Bend Location- most comfortable stay I have experienced

I stay frequently in Bend and have tried the majority of hotels in the area while traveling for work. This is the only hotel that has had everything I usually look for in a hotel worth paying for. The beds were brand new and far more comfortable than my own at home- I even asked the manager where I might purchase one. Being downtown was the best advantage, I didnt have to drive, just walked downtown for dinner and a stroll through the park. The view from my room was breathtaking, I was on the second floor and could see the mountain peaks from my balcony- the sunset was amazing from my room. The breakfast was so much better than the other hotels in the area- eggs, waffles, sausage, biscuits and gravy.. The gym had recently been redone also, and they have nautalis equiptment which was a shock, I've never seen this at a hotel. I've stayed mostly at the Marriott when coming to Bend, but the Phoenix is my favorite by far, I'll be back. Thank you for the wonderful service as well, great staff!
