Great Experience

I was not required to leave a per night deposit..and I also booked through a travel site. So I would check into that. The hotel has a wonderful location with a great ocean view. When we checked in we asked if our room had a ocean view, they informed us it didn't but they gladly switched rooms for us. The room was do-able. The fixtures and such are a little out-dated but if that is not a big concern to you, you will be fine. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. On our stay the hotel was very quiet and very easy to get a good nights sleep. They provide you with a free breakfast buffet each day of your stay as well. Parking rates are expensive but I parked on a side street up the block and just walked across the street to the hotel. If you don't have children I would recommend this if you want to avoid a $18 daily fee. It was a pain to lug a one yr old that distance but it saved me close to $80. Overall I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. If you are looking for a Beverly Hills type of hotel I would probably look elsewhere but if you are looking for an affordable, clean hotel I would recommend Crown Plaza.

Wouldn't stay again.

Okay the hotel is right on the Marina which is great, but the online travel website did not mention that they require a PER NIGHT deposit! I ended up having to put down $*(I stayed for 3 nights) that was going to be used for shopping money. They will refund to you whatever you don't use but it takes 3 days from the date you check out to have money put back on your debt card! There wasn't a frige in my room, the bathtub was cracked on the side, the wall paper was pelling off in the bathroom, and the walls were sooooooo paper thin you could hear everything! When I checked into my room on my bed they left ear plugs which I found to be strange but as the night came I knew why! Parking is 18.00 a day and the online travel website is lying there is a shuttle so you should check with the hotel before you get that rental. The TV in my room showed horrible. On a postive note the staff was great and room service wonderful. The bed was comfy, there was cd player in the room. I would never stay there again. If you are going to spend $* a night pick another hotel and you will be better off calling the hotel it self and finding out information before you book it on the travel website.

Just OK

This hotel is a fine place to sleep. There is an interesting pier area to walk around. The hotel itself is in need of some TLC. Stained carpets, worn out plumbing, and a less than thrilled staff is waiting for you. We won't be back but it wasn't dreadful either. Pluses: A diner close by: Eat at Joe's on the PCH Minuses: Daily parking charges

Closed pool!

The pool was closed! We had the option to go to the pool at the adjacent hotel, but that wasn't very realistic. Other than that, the location is great- overlooking the ocean. The room has been well used, and had a mildewy smell, but seemed clean. Free use of Gold's Gym next door was a definite perk.

Best for the $$$

The Crowne Plaza in Redondo is every bit as nice a property as the Marriot hotels in Marina Del Rey or Torrance and substantially less $$.
