My daughter and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Boston-Sommervile on our recent college touring trip. The staff and hotel are easy to commend to others wanting to visit Boston.
In addition to having clean and well kept rooms the hotel offers a lovely pool/whirlpool and fitness areas, shuttle service around the area, and is in close proximity to the T-orange line into Boston. Everyone associated with the hotel was helpful and friendly. If all works out, we will definately be staying at the hotel for parents weekend!

Staying at this hotel overall, was a pleasure. The staff was what made the difference. The shuttle drivers went out of their way to be helpful, even making a special trip out to a drugstore for me. The pool attendant was so wonderful, she actually stayed past closing time to help me find my way around the subway system. When I came down for morning breakfast, I was delighted to see the hostess who was friendly and helpful. As a woman traveling alone, security was a concern for me. The location of the hotel was close enough to safely walk to the bus or subway. I was able to get around very easily. I would stay here again and certainly feel very comfortable recommending it.

This hotel is not in a great area of Boston; however, we walked to and from the T without a problem. The hotel staff was extremely wonderful and willing to do anything we needed. They also have a shuttle bus which goes to the T once an hour. The pool and hot tub were very clean and my children had a great time. The dining was okay, but the kids eat free which saves a lot of money. I probably wouldn't feel safe walking about after dark in this area, but during the day I had no worries. Our car was safe in the parking lot. I would definately stay here again.

The hotel was clean, but don't expect to get what you asked for. However, they did try to take care of us as best they could even offering us a free breakfast. Make sure that if you stay longer than a night, that you check to make sure the maid leaves you the correct washcloths and towels.....she kept forgetting some.

This place was great! It might be far from Boston but they offer a shuttle bus that brings you everywhere! just make sure you book it at the front desk first. we made that mistake on the 1st day. They also do pick ups from where they dropped you off. if you're coming by bus, the cab ride is only $20. The Staff was great and the room was clean. The room is roomie too. The hotel has a pizzeria across from it. (Decent Brooklyn-ish pizza) theres a dunkin dounut near buy and a convient store. The gas station near by has a 99 cent slurpie's for any size! overall the hotel was great and i'll come here again.
