GIRLS WEEKEND

Five of us got together for a shopping weekend in Chicago. After a lot of searching we picked the Marriot. The Marriot is inbetween State Street and Magnificeint mile. It is a safe area with many restaraunts and shopping within walking distance.
Upon arriving we found out we were on the 7th floor. One person in our party is deathly afraid of elevators so a couple of us decided to take the stairs up. However, in the city, hotels lock all of their 1-5 stairwell doors for safety reasons. After talking to the front desk 2 security guards were called. They offered to ride the elevator with us but my friend wanted the stairs. Very nicely they opened the door and continued to huff and puff after us for 5 flights. He let us know if we needed his assistance again we could just let the front desk know.
The front desk was also very helpful when we needed the use of a refrigerator. At 11:30pm we asked if there was a refrigerator we could put our leftovers in. We were told to go up to our room and someone would be up to get them . After about 5 minutes Sean came pulling behind him a refirgerator free of charge.
Our Girls Weelend is an annual event and we won't need to search for a hotel any longer. We will always stay at the Courtyard by Marriot on Hubbard.

This Hotel was close to the L subway line and busses. Conveniently located downtown and near the Magnificent Mile. It was easy to get to from the Airport.
Everything was close by. Lots of places to eat and shop.

My friends and I stayed for 3 nights and the stay was wonderful. The hotel was very close to the Macificent mile (just 2 blocks away) The train station and the bus station were also very close to the hotel. There are convienent stores right next to the hotel if snacks and water were needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although one of the staff gave us the wrong direction to a restaurant. Starbucks was right next to the hotel if coffee is a must.
Overall, I would totally stay there again when I go to chicago.
Great stay!
