Room was totally unacceptable. Spartan to say the least. 3 glasses, one(1) wine glass. No extra blankets. Two packets of regular coffee,no decaf. No sugar, splenda, sweet and low.
Appeared unclean.
I have already reported this to you Monday.

This was my first time in New York on vacation. Hotel staff was pleasant. Room was large and very nice to have a kitchen. When we first arrived because our room wasn't ready yet the hotel staff gave us an upgrade to a larger room (very nice of them) Problem the room was a smoking room and smelled like it. The sofa bed (couch) was filthy with stains . The dressers for clothes where a bit warn. The bathroom was very nice. Needless to say we asked to be moved to another room (non smoking) Intially they said they did not have one then said well we have a smaller non smoking room. I asked to look at the room and after approving its appearance and smell we chose this room. Minor issues but nothing that we couldnt overcome. The room was still very spacious (almost like a 1 bedroom apt) Bathroom very outdated but waterflow to shower was excellent! Location wise although it seems to be a bit out of the way I must say we were happy with it. There was a little store near by (2-3 blocks) to purchase snacks at. We walked to Central Park and Rockfeller Center as well as the Empire State Building and Time Square. Took taxi cabs to WTC and Statue of Liberty. All in all I would stay there again . For the money it's a good value. And if you don't mind walking a little ( loss 7lbs on trip ) I say go for it but bring a good pair of sneakers.

This room has a lot of space! That is one thing that I really liked. I didn't feel stuffy or tight. The room was big; We had a kitchenette and a regular size bathroom. The decor was normal (not outdated as one previous review had said). We asked to upgrade to a KING size bed and that was no problem. The bed was okay-not that comfortable, but it was totally decent. On the map, the hotel location seems to be off to the side, but in reality the walk is not that bad. Lexington (and the subway stop) are just a few blocks and minutes away. This is a good place to stay for the space and the kitchen.

Lovely old hotel--my room had kitchenette (fridge, oven, microwave and dishwasher!).The staff was pleasant and more than helpful all around. Smoke alarm beeped at 5am: I was amazed that someone showed up 5 minutes later to fix it. Pricey compared to what I'm used to, but no more than other hotels in this area (near the U.N.).
Biggest room I have ever stayed in.

I have a friend in New York with an apartment smaller than the room I was. The master bedroom was at least as big as the one in my 2600 sq. ft. house. Living room, dining area and small kitchen all on the 22nd floor over looking the river. I have paid more for less in NYC.
