While I am sure the building has been there since 85 or so.. you would not tell from the inside or more interestingly enough the lay out. We have a 20 storie midrise building attached to a movie theatre small walking mall and whatever you could ever want.... I found it amazing. Then the town was 10 feet from the door of this place. Sorta the furture..everything in one beautiful laid out space.
I was there on business but I could see the value of bringing kids here...you can really keep the tabs on them.
Beds were amazing they were those tripled sheeted jobs, like "10" pillows...great views from my room. Modern-clean-nonlivedin look.
would not stay here again

i stayed most at marriot when i am on business. found this one because it is very near where i needed to go. People do not seem to be friendly, starting from the doorman to the hotel staffs i met in the lobby or hallway. BUT, i have to give high mark for the 2 people who check me in + out, otherwise they do not deserve any star at all.
The room was clean, bed was nice, tv was ok, nothing fancy. I did not go the gym or the pool. As for safety and security, you can walk from the parking enterance into the hotel + elevator

This was my second stay at the Hyatt and the atmosphere and rooms are great. The front desk is always helpful. I grew up in the area and visit frequently. For the price excellent. Parking is great and complimentary close to everything downtown. New resturants in Mall excellent and great wine selection at Ming II but pricey. Express airport checkin in lobby. Travel often but never write reviews thought it was worth it. Hope this doesn't drive up the affordable price :-)

From the pictures on the site, as well as the name, we thought we were going to be in a really nice place. Turns out the only nice parts were the lobby area. Pool was in a differect part of the building complex and inconvenient to get to..which turned us off completely from trying. The room was ok but when we turned on the air it SMELLED like something was rotten. Bed was comfy tho and we liked being in the heart of MoTown..but that's pretty much it. I would definitely try a different hotel if i ever wanted to stay in Morristown again.
