Decent Property, Excellent Location, Staff Tries, Undergoing Soft Renovation

I've stayed here weekly for the past couple of months. It's reasonably clean, the staff tries really hard but has only so much to work with. It's currently undergoing a soft renovation (new carpet, floors, bedspreads and curtains). For the life of me, I don't get why they don't install new curved shower curtains. Existing ones are the cheap ones that blow in as you shower, very irritating. Beds are pretty comfortable. Rooms are reasonably quiet, definitely could upgrade the TV's and number of stations, fridge and microwave are usually clean. Like most extended stays, no daily housecleaning but will replace towels if you ask. My biggest complaint has to do with the lower 3 floors, all of the odd numbered rooms. They have flood lights at night that are exceptionally bright, and curtains that don't keep the light out. This is extremely irritating and causes me to make sure I don't have an odd numbered room on floors 1-3. The location is outstanding, 5 blocks away from the Brickell area of downtown Miami. I walk to my office, which is a big deal because all the towers charge $12-$25 per day for parking, as do the "luxury" hotels. Parking is free here. A 24 hour Walgreens is across the street, Publix is 1 block away. Although the specific location is not in a fancy area, I have had no issues walking in the area at night. Train stations are also within walking distance. Overall, a very good value for the $$ if you don't need to be pampered.

brickell location is very convenient, staff was friendly/helpful, 1st floor corner unit was like having your own personal entrance to the building through side exit door, also lots of window space.
