The best family place to stay in Reno!!

Our family stayed at the Homewood Suites in Reno because we didn't want to have the "casino" experience for our kids during a basketball tournament. I couldn't imagine that we would not even see a slot machine at all until we got gas on the way out of Reno! The hotel is located away from the casinos but very convenient to many new eating places. With less than a mile to travel to the convention center it worked perfectly for early games and the breakfast got all of us up and out for four days. The staff bent over backward to accomodate us not only in the room but for the breakfasts. They have a full kitchen in each room which helps meet the needs of a diabetic or special diets. It is stocked with every thing you need including a dishwasher! The kids especially liked the DVD player in the livingroom. The pullout couch and the rollaway bed made the one bedroom work well. We ususally stay in a two bedroom at the Homewood Suites but this one was perfect because they have a different type of rollaway that has a firm matress that doesn't sink down in the middle. The indoor pool and hot tub kept the kids happy and was just enough to get some exercise for the parents too! Overall the best experience with Homewood Suites we've had! Thanks

We're from Las Vegas and hate the casino hotels, so chose this property instead. It was absolutely a dream! Management team helped us with our bags and were extremely friendly and efficient. The rooms are huge, immaculate and very well equipped! Great beds!!! The whole facility is incredibly clean. We will never stay anywhere else...also, they now have a shuttle to the airport!

I love the Homewood and will only stay here

I travel a lot and come to Reno pretty often, and the idea of staying in those smoky, crowded casino hotels makes me sick. I remember hearing that Homewood was opening and thought I'd give it a try. It's basically awesome. The room was HUGE and it had a kitchen, and the beds are so comfortable. Breakfast is great and had anything you could possibly want -- waffles, oatmeal, fruit, eggs, sausage, everything. I tried the dinner one night and it was the Chef's Grandma's recipe -- amazing enchiladas. Oh, beer too. The fitness room had invididual TV's in the workout equipment and I just used my own iPod earphones -- wish I had that at home! Internet was fast and wireless, which I like. I don't remember if it was noisy or not, but I do remember that is was off the highway not far from the airport. A little hard to find in the dark. Wish they had a shuttle, but other than that, the hotel is great and the staff was friendly. Rate was decent too. I won't stay anywhere else when I come to Reno.
