If you are expecting to stay in one of the newly remodeled rooms with the flat screen TV's and new comfortable beds, think again. The room you get online is one of the old standard rooms. To get one of the newly remodel rooms you will be asked to play an extra $ per day to get one of them. The room was OK, but now what I expected. Check-in will take you some time. Only two people working the desk. Not much in that area of Vegas anymore. Buy the three day bus pass for $15.00, great deal. Go see Terry Fator at the Mirage, great show.
Decent hotel for the money

I was pleased with the room I got in at the low price..Nice king size bed with a flat screen tv..
I was disappointed in the service fee of $3.50 service fee for energy use.. Seedy crowd at night in the casino but plenty of security...Nice stay in all.. would be back in again

The Riviera Hotel and Casino was the hotel of my choice. It has recently been remodeled inside and is very nice. The only problems I encountered was the TV remote in the room didn't work and the ice machine in the hallway leaked creating a large water hazard for the guests. There is major building going on in the area so it was difficult to walk on the sidewalks with construction barriers and blockage. The cost for taxis is outrageous, suggest the use of what they call "The Deuce", this is the local bus system. The cost for a one time trip is $3.00 and you can get a 24 hour pass for $7.00, which I used, along with some of the shuttles provided by the different hotels and casinos. They have a 24 hour snack shop and also a 24 hour coffee shop. They also have a rather huge casino full of slots from 1 cent up to $5.00, and the saying is true, the money I took to Vegas, stayed in Vegas.....lol. Nice hotel, I would stay there again.

I stayed at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas during my son's Spring break and had a good experience. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I found easy access from the freeway and the rooms were clean. I paid $* for 3 nights but I was added a $3.81 for a power surcharge per night, which it's a little surprising when you think you are done being charged. No coffee maker in my room but I found a little fridge which is nice. The bathroom had a faulty light and fan. And the housekeeper lost the TV remote control one day. But I enjoyed the LCD screen TV and the pool. The access to the parking lot is a little of a walk but the was plenty of parking spaces. I would return to the Riviera in the future for the reasonable rates and good service.

this hotel wants nothing to do with its guest ,when you check in there is only a machine ,no direction to you room or nothing you are on your own, dont expect to park in there parking lot even thou you are a guest, they let any body on the strip park there,we had to park at circus circus aross a busy highway and run across the street to our hotel because there was never any parking, the room was filty ,,gum stuck on the walls and paint peeling ,carpet was gross dont take your shoes off.when complained to front desk they laughed about the parking and said yah its hard .there were broken glasses and a garbage bucket with puck in it in the hall way for two days ,which we had to pass bye it everyday.please look for another hotel on the stip ,i would hate for other guest to have to endore what we did.
