There are Better Places to Stay

The stay was just okay. Our stay was supposed to be included through a travel agent, but then we had to bust out our credit cards, because they Charge For Electricity. Why that is a separate charge I don't know. They only give you two outlets anyway, and one was hidden behind a bed.
A lot of the staff were rude. A cocktail waitress in the casino wouldn't get me a soda after she approached asking me if I needed something. She said, "Well, if you just want a soda, you'll have to go up to the bar and get it". Where they charged me about four dollars. Cocktails are free when you are playing at the casino. But not if they don't contain alcohol.
Also, many of the cocktail waitresses were rather unfortunate looking, and many were elderly. Not a big deal, except they are dressed in skimpy outfits. Go somewhere else. There are many nicer places to stay for the same price.

If you're looking for elegance the Riviera is not the hotel for you. If you're looking for old Las Vegas with all the comforts that will do for the moment and on budget then stay at the hotel. The Peppermill restaurant next door is great!
very nice for the price

The hotel was spectacular. Checking in was lengthy due to the line, but because the hotel was so wonderful, it was worth the wait. In our room, the bedding was just right. Mostly everything was clean, but the bathrooms needed some bleach. The plasma TVs were a big hit in every room. There was no outside noise, and that was a plus! The restaurants were incredible for the price. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet. We also enjoyed Kady's Restaurant that was open 24 hours. The casino was wonderful as well- although we aren't big gamblers. The shops were unique and great for souvenirs. All in all it was a great experience. The only downside was the only place within a normal walking distance was Circus Circus, for all other venues we had to take a taxi which proved costly Next time, we'll rent a car for "touristy" things to do, but overall we loved the Riviera!

Hotel screwed up our reservations. Had 3 rooms with 3 people reserved. Wanted to add another person to one of the rooms. Phoned hotel 3 times - they wanted a faxed request from the online travel website. Thought that was taken care of. When we arrived at hotel the added person had to wait until we arrived (about 6 hours- she arrived before us) and still had no room. They had showed her an unmade room that had vomit in the bathroom. We finally got it straightened out and the manager gave us a voucher for a free buffer breakfast. She called several times for a rollaway bed to be sent to the room, but it never happened.
