I thought the staff was very polite and accessible. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The whole area surrounding the Riviera was just gorgeous. although, I did not use the pool, it was very inviting. The food at Kady's was o.k. I wasn't too thrilled about thier breakfast selection. Beware of the " the country skillet breakfast" it was not good at all. Well,l to me it was not good. The casinos were very good. I had my winning moments as well as losing moments. Overall, I would vacation at this hotel again. My boyfriend loved it. He's ready to go back.

Just back from a 5 day stay. The hotel experience was good except for checkin. Took 3 different moves to get a smoking room (no renovated smoking rooms - $250 "fine" for smoking in non room) The room we ended up with was the largest of the three, a great strip view looking over pool (Monte Carlo tower), regular TV (few channels but watched very little), regular King size bed. Overall a very nice room for those who are looking just for a bed and bath.
Ate breakfast in buffet once (OK food poor choices WAY over priced). McDonalds and Slots of Fun across street good casual meals. Best meal of trip was Carnival Buffet at Rio (prime rib incredible)Took Neon Tour (Grey Line) first night (really good for newbies to see where to go on your own)
Saw Bette Midler at Caesars (great glitter show) and Terry Fador at Mirage (incredible talent. allowed photos during show. Meet and greet after show, autographed anything)
Had best winnings downtown and will probably stay there next time (a lot of entertainment in easy covered walking distance, easy access to Strip via Deuce bus)
Nice room- Good price!

The room was small but the beds were very comfy. The only disappointment was the pool closed at 7pm and there was no hot tub. Overall we were happy with our stay.

We stayed at the Riviera in April 09. first we were given an old looking room but the room was huge, my girlfriend wanted to change so we were given a newly remodeled room. Very nice room with a great bed and cool plasma tv. view was good staff was friendly, location was not too far from the action and quiet.I was actually impressed after reading all the bad reviews this place got. Overall we had an amazing stay, and will return to The Riviera everytime we are in Vegas!

Checking in at midnight, we waited an hour in line. For the price it's ok. No live music in lounge was a disappointment. You get what you pay for.
