Not worth it!

The main reason I stayed at this hotel was because I could earn Wyndham Rewards points. The hotel was far away from where I was traveling daily and I could have had a hotel for the same price walking distance from where I was going. The hotel was very disappointing but since I was getting the points, I put up with it all. The "expanded continental breakfast" was a bunch of refined carbohydrates with no protein. Sugary cereals, white bread, and a cheap type of pastry was offered daily. There was some fruit that looked so nasty I wouldn't eat it. I ended up going out for breakfast for two of the five days I stayed there. I expected an "expanded continental breakfast" to have some healthy foods. My shower curtain reeked of mold even though I could not see any. My allergies were horrible when I was in the room. The walls were extremely thin and everytime someone entered or exited their room, I was woken up if I was sleeping. One night I was woken up 8 times! As I said, I put up with this because I would get points through Wyndham Rewards. Because I booked the hotel through Travelocity, Wyndham Rewards customer service said they would not be able to give me the points but the hotel could give them to me. The hotel manager refused to give me the points I earned for my stay. I had booked through Cheaptickets.com in the past and stayed at the Super 8 in Culver City. I received the points for that stay, no problem. I will never stay at this hotel or any other Wyndham hotel again. These hotels are not worth the problems if you are not earning anything for it.

Very Disappointing

Based on their past reviews I expected a great hotel but I was sadly disappointed. The pool was unheated and freezing cold. The staff was unhelpful and said "you get what you pay for". The hotel is about 30 years old and my room was well worn and dirty. The mattresses where quite hard and my morning shower was cold. The "free breakfast" is coffee, corn flakes, and a week old pastry. Steer clear of this hotel!

Pleasantly surprised

We booked this hotel because it was the only place available at a reasonable price in a safe neighborhood. This was definitely the nicest Super 8 in which we have ever stayed. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, pool, refrigerator - everything we needed and more.

Great location for Rose Bowl Parade. Uncomfortable beds & cheap pillows. Also very noisy. Very friendly staff but would not stay here again.

Not What I Expected

The hotel location was ok; however they could have arranged the room a little better; one of the beds butted up against the dresser; the tv and refrig were an after thought; the table and chairs were positioned in front of the cooler/heater unit. If you were looking for a place to stay and unpack this is not the one. If you just needed a room to sleep and have a short stay this is the place to be.
