King sized bed in a twin sized room

Our king sized bed was the same size as the room. There was no fan in the bathroom and cigarette burns on the toilet seat. The Howard Johnson chain did not live up to my expectations. I will never stay at this "motel" again!

Great Service!

This hotel is older without much more than cable tv and a small pool to go along with an above average continental breakfast (from the excellent donut shop next door that also has a great hot breakfast) and the double rooms were pretty cramped. Having said that I would have a hard time believing that even the Breaker's Hotel that is on Cedar Point grounds could provide better service than this hotel provided to my family an me. All the extra towels we wanted, breakfast and coffee fresh even at 10:00, and always friendly. In all while the rooms aren't the best I will definately stay ther the next time we go to Cedar Point.

Nasty!

The room was tiny! The room also smelled as if the carpet was wet. There was a gap in the door jam of the room where you could see in and out of the room. The TV was put on a desk facing away from the beds. The room was so small that one of the beds was shoved up against a wall so that someone had to crawl across the bed to get to the other side. I picked this hotel because it had free wireless internet and I was taking classes online through my college. When we got to the hotel I was told that there was no wirless internet and if it was an emergency I could use a computer in the back office, but was told that it was a really slow connection. I ended up having to call my instructer and explain the situation. The staff was very unhelpful and just didnt seam to care that we were not happy with the condition of the room or the false advertising of wireless internet. The pool was really small and dirty. The train tracks running right next to it didnt really help things either. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!! It may be really close to the Cedar Point, but it isn't worth it! Drive the few extra miles for a good hotel!

Plenty of other options...

This hotel, has been my choice to stay at for Cedar Point trips for the last 5 years. Each year seems to get a little worse, but May 2008 by far convinced us to not return to this facility. Service staff was lazy and inconsiderate. No trash can in the room (made our own "trash corner"). BIG HUGE wolf spider on the wall. Toilet clogged - staff said, "Maintenance is not here right now" - so we asked to borrow a plunger (we heard, "I aint' uncloggin' no tow-let" over a cleaning person's Nextel) and took care of it ourselves. Only 5 rooms looked to be reserved, and they put them all within 1-2 rooms of each other. All night we hear random noises, banging, doors slamming, televisions and a lot of garbage blowing around loosely in the parking lot. Besides all the trouble, the room is barely worth the $45.00. It's small, has a bed (old & terribly uncomfortable), and a restroom big enough to barely open the door inside of.

Most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at

This hotel, which was actually a motel was absolutely disgusting. For starters the room was tiny and the floor was dirty. There was pubic hair in the shower and black mold above the door of the bathroom. The bathroom door came off the hinges when I tried to shut it. We had to go down and ask for towels since there were none when we arrived. The springs in the beds were shot and the comforters had stains on them. There was a piece of gum that was stuck to the headboard. This was definitely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I would reccomend that no one ever stays here.
