Quote: Very clean and comfortable, the bed was perfect! Fair rates compared to others in the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included a larger than average choice of food and everything was fresh and tasty. The hotel is located... Read the full Howard Johnson Cedar Point review

It was pretty good

Quote: The hotel was close to Cedar Point an had a good price. It was fine since we were just staying one night after going to the park all day and leaving the next morning. I don't know if I'd want to stay there every time I'd go to Sandusky, but it works... Read the full Howard Johnson Cedar Point review

"Scary" was kids' word choice

  • 2 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • October 29, 2010
Quote: Had 2 rooms; 1 was acceptable, the other was rather nasty, in same building as office. The door wouldn't shut properly, the floor was dirty and when we went to shower there was no hot water. Going to Cedar Point again and kids asked, "Can we... Read the full Howard Johnson Cedar Point review

Quote: Upon our arrival the hotel clerk was very friendly and quickly placed us in a room. The breakfast was literally only cereal (which I did not like) coffee orange juice apple juice and doughnuts from the doughnut shop across the street... Read the full Howard Johnson Cedar Point review

DON'T STAY HERE!!

  • August 5, 2010
Quote: Room was adequate at best. Bathroom was extremely small. Every time we left our room for a few hours. We had to get the keys redone to get back in. Breakfast was a joke and only two tables in the place. Spend the extra bucks and go somewhere ... Read the full Howard Johnson Cedar Point review

King sized bed in a twin sized room

  • 1 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • July 8, 2009
Quote: Our king sized bed was the same size as the room. There was no fan in the bathroom and cigarette burns on the toilet seat. The Howard Johnson chain did not live up to my expectations. I will never stay at this "motel" again!

Great Service!

  • 4 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • July 1, 2008
Quote: This hotel is older without much more than cable tv and a small pool to go along with an above average continental breakfast (from the excellent donut shop next door that also has a great hot breakfast) and the double rooms were pretty cramped.... Nasty!

  • 1 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • June 23, 2008
Quote: The room was tiny! The room also smelled as if the carpet was wet. There was a gap in the door jam of the room where you could see in and out of the room. The TV was put on a desk facing away from the beds. The room was so small that one of the beds... Read the full Howard Johnson Cedar Point review

Plenty of other options...

  • 2 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • May 19, 2008
Quote: This hotel, has been my choice to stay at for Cedar Point trips for the last 5 years. Each year seems to get a little worse, but May 2008 by far convinced us to not return to this facility. Service staff was lazy and inconsiderate. No trash can in... Read the full Howard Johnson Cedar Point review
