Disappointing

I attended a conference at this hotel. The gardens were beautiful, but my room was the complete opposite. There was a layer of dust on every piece of furniture. My window faced the outdoors, but it was permanently closed with screws - and covered with cobwebs. The TV didn't work properly, and the wireless was not stable. I wouldn't use the in-room coffee maker, but couldn't get any coffee in the whole resort until after 7:00 a.m. Those were all minor inconveniences compared to getting an accurate bill upon departure. 5 phone calls later, I ended up with two different bills. Not worth the price or hassle.

Great Experience But Read First Before You Stay!

I attended a five-day conference, and as a treat flew my sister down for four of the days. This was BY FAR the most amazing experience I have had with a few exceptions. True, you need a GPS to get around, but the amazing flora and fauna (HUGE fish in the river) made getting lost worth it. I could never afford to stay at the regular rate - the conference rate was $107 plus the $15 a day "amenities fee", and I got a complimentary upgrade to a Garden Conservatory view room with a balcony. HOWEVER, I had two (half) glasses of wine and an order of lukewarm chicken wings at the Jack Daniels restaurant my first night there and it came to $29 (without tip)! There is a liquor store across the street and for $6.50 I got a cab ride there and back and bought wine - you can carry your beverage anywhere in the complex, and each room has a refrigerator. On the upside, the wireless internet installed itself, and was quite fast. You also must see the Opry Mills Mall and the Grand Ole Opry, which are both a five minute walk away. Tickets to the Grand Ole Opry were $39, and we saw Trace Adkins, Wynonna, Martina McBride, Lee Greenwood, and four other acts that were AMAZING. A must-do!!!

Beautiful grounds. Great service. Great location for a conference. Helpful staff. Within walking distance of a mall and the Grand Old Opry. Several places to eat. Shops. Inside a climate control dome.

The rooms have been(some sections still are)completely remodeled. Very nice - so much to see and do.

Way overpriced!

It's too bad they need to charge for parking also the price of the small rooms do not compare to a 4 star resort and I don't see why they call it this! Carpets nasty and beds need to be with clean bedding-not at all priced right.
