Eastern Slope Inn

The unit was actually three adjoining hotel rooms, each with a Murphy bed, a mini fridge, a microwave, and a stovetop (no oven). There was enough space for four people, but it was not the best layout if you wanted a condo.

The restaurant on site, Flatbread’s, is great. The indoor pool was closed during most of our visit. The staff is nice.

All in all, it’s a decent place, but it's not Gold Crown -- and the mattresses are TRAGIC.

The place was great. It was spacious with a whirlpool. Indoor pool and Jacuzzi. Great family fun with indoor activities. We stayed in the single bedroom suite with partial kitchen and two beds.

The resort itself is a large, old-fashioned hotel that has been renovated and turned into timeshares. We were assigned a second-floor, one-bedroom unit on the backside of the main building, facing the tennis courts. The unit consisted of two rooms. One room had two double beds, a dresser, TV, closet, and bathroom. The other room had a partial kitchen, couch, table with three chairs, TV, closet, two pull-down Murphy beds, and a bathroom. It was very comfortable for two people. With any more people, it might have been a bit crowded. The unit was clean and well maintained.

The resort has a large indoor heated pool, as well as two Jacuzzis (one indoor, one outdoor).

Very nice, romantic, and cozy. Jacuzzi tubs were great, and they provided big fluffy towels. Suites had everything and more. Very clean, even smelled clean. Very well-maintained units. Hotel is awesome!

Best Things Nearby:
Horsefeathers restaurant; Stonehurst Manor (restaurant and lodge); outlet shopping malls; coffee shops; skiing; gorgeous scenery.

Best Things About the Resort:
Wonderful accommodations--spacious rooms beautifully maintained, plenty of sleeping room, two large color TVs and VCRs, and a great view of the mountains. A+ all the way!

Resort Experience:
We were amazed at how large the suite was when we arrived. The living room, which is where we did most of our writing and plotting, was spacious and well-appointed, and the master bedroom was enormous--complete with a whirlpool tub and fireplace! With four women staying in the suite, we were also REALLY glad to see there were two full baths. Everything was fabulous. We felt immediately at home, and really enjoyed our mini writing retreat--the first of many, we hope!
