This inn is one of the original hotels in North Conway, but it is well maintained. It is located in the center of North Conway and is within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, ski resorts, and winter activities. Flatbreads restaurant, a coffee shop, and a sports shop are located in the main building.
We stayed in a three-bedroom unit in Humphrey Cottage, located behind the main inn building. It was actually a one-bedroom unit connected to another one bedroom unit with a loft, so we had two kitchens and two bathrooms. It was perfect for two couples. The only drawback was that in order to go from one unit to the other, we had to walk through the other couple's bedroom. Each room had a wood stove or a fireplace and a whirlpool tub. The rooms were clean and had recently been repainted. The appliances were fairly new. There are some minor repairs, such as cracked tiles, that need to be done, but nothing that would affect your stay.
The resort offers a pool and a work out room. The heated pool was very clean, but not well heated. The pool was cold and the indoor Jacuzzi water was closer to bathwater. The railing at the pool steps was broken. There was also an outdoor hot tub, but we never used it. The work out room contained a rack of free weights, a stair master, a nautilus machine, and a bike. All three of the machines were broken. There is also a movie room that is used for timeshare presentations. It had a 54" flat screen TV with surround sound, VCR, and DVD player. We used it at night after the sales staff went home for the night. We highly recommend this.
