"Fireplace" a Joke

Every room has a fireplace, we were told, but little did we know that the "fireplace" is really just a video of a fire, projected onto a mirror from behind a couple of plastic logs when you press a button on a special remote! One of the logs has a strip of red foil on it to simulate an ember. As you can tell by my ratings, it was otherwise a good place, but I do have one more complaint: When I reserved the room I requested the best possible view of the mountains. A reservations-desk employee, called my home the next day to assure me they would provide such a room. However, after arriving at our assigned room we opened the curtains to see a view of a backhoe sitting on a recently cleared lot across the street. The mountain views were on the other side of our building, and since there was only one other car parked at our building, I'm quite sure there were some vacant units on that side.

great value!

I had hoped this location would be good for our family ski vacation, but wasn't too concerned about the luxury level of the room. I was looking for clean, safe and larger than a normal hotel room, as I had two kids, my husband and I staying in the same hotel room. I was very pleasantly surprised when we walked into our "b" style condo. The room location offered pleasant views, the kitchen and living rooms were fairly expansive, the fireplace was a lovely touch! Bathroom was huge (who needs all that room!)? The front desk personnel were quite friendly and helpful. The only negative I can find was the bed quality. I would call this a resort, if the mattress on the bedroom bed were upgraded. The mattress on the pull out couch was terrible, but I didn't expect a pull out couch to have a good mattress. I do expect that from the main bed. All in all we would definitely return!

Walls have No insulation, No Privacy.

PROS: This was our first time using our RCI time share in the Fall at this beautiful hotel! The place was Clean and Furnished well. The views were outstanding look out at the mountains. The fireplaces in the rooms were a perfect touch! Vacation Village is a place for both a romantic getaway and a family vacation. CONS: Privacy was poor the wall are uninsulated & not built for silence between units. I had the unit next door banging on my door @ 8:30pm and ask us to lower the T.V. in the living room; because his kid were trying to sleep. This ruined my night; and would definitely make my family to not return to Vaction Village in the future.

Very good value, excellent staff, beautiful facility

The queen suite was more than we expected. Quite roomy for two, would accommodate 4. Large bathroom, kitchen and eating area. Very clean. Gracious staff. Free internet room at lodge. Fun activities and a large indoor pool area. Would stay here again.
