Not the Best

I love staying at Best Westerns. Their beds are always great. Well, not this one.I felt like I was lying on the box springs. What happen to the pillow top mattresses I am use to getting with Best Western. It appearred they might have been doing some remodels. Hopefully the beds will be included. One of the animinities was an iron and ironing board. We had the iron, no ironing board. The towels were not the best. I love a thick and soft towel. These were as thin as paper and rough. For what this room cost, you would expect more. Oh, wanted coffee from the coffee maker. no pot! When checking out. I was ask if everything was ok, I said "if I could have had coffee, it would have been nice.'' he said,"no coffee in your room?" I said yes, but no pot. He says,"oh they are single serve, you put your cup under the spout. " Well, why not put instructions telling you that. I will not stay there again, unless only place to stay.

Needs restoration

This hotel needs to be renovated. The airconditioning units open into an enclosed atrium, making it like a furnace inside the hotel. Floor tiles were broken, the pool area needs attention, it is obviously a hotel that was built in the 70's and not much has been done to keep it up to standard. For the price, it was not worth the money.

Exceeded Expectations

Hotel exceeded our expectations. The atrium area was something we have never experienced in a 2-Star Hotel. There was an indoor pool, putting green, pool tables, a fireplace, and comfortable seating areas throughout - sitting in front of the gas log fireplace on the rock-wall hearth was a nice end to a long day of sight seeing at the Biltmore House. If you require upscale luxury, this hotel may not be the best choice; for the budget-minded traveler, this hotel will far exceed your expectations. We will definitely stay here again on future Asheville trips.

Disappointed

We had reservation for a king room and got two double beds and were told that's all they had in non smoking. We had to wait in line 30 minutes to check in. The room was not maintained. Shower pull was broken, tub stopper didn't fit. Walls were thin and we could hear children whining and dog barking in room next to us.

Requested non-smkg. room, got smkng, beds poorly made, bathroom walls dirty hair on bath towels, no bath cloths, front desk only had one, we passed on the 2nd night. Staff was friendly. Will not be staying here again.
