Quote: I wasn't expecting much for the price. Compared to other cheaper motels I have stayed in, this has been the best. Excellent location right off the freeway. Minutes from restaurants and shopping. I would definitely stay here again.

Quote: This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. If you enjoy sleeping in a room with cockroaches then this is the place for you. I would NOT recommend this hotel for anyone!

Quote: The room was dirty. It felt like our feet stuck to the nasty carpet when we walked on it. The smell in the room was rank. There was rust in the bath tub. The air conditioner did not work right. We would have left as soon as we walked in but there... Read the full Howard Johnson Express Inn Birmingham review
