Hard Sell

Although we liked the hotel, we were pressured into upgrading our room as it was going to be so much better for a special price. We were given several options w/ several different prices depending on amenities like a "lanai". We had booked a room w/ 2 queens but they turned out to be doubles. Our upgraded room had a separate king bedroom but the living kitchen dining other bed area was too small to fit my family of 4. The lanai was also too small to permit 4 people to stand outside. We had trouble eating, playing games etc. The rooms w/o seperate bedrooms looked much bigger and had a dining table. It is also confusing as the hotel is made up of 4 or 5 different hotels that they bought up and combined so each building is different. The location was excellent and the beach fantastic. hope this helps. call to confirm beds.

first trip to ft. myers beach

it was a beautiful hotel, right on the beach. its about forty minutes from the airport, i suggest renting a car because the cab will cost you about sixty bucks. All rooms have a full kitchen, but the store is kinda far to walk. there is a trolley service though. the menu is somewhat limited and high priced, so if your staying for a while id stock up on groceries. The overall quality of the food was excellent and you receive complementary breakfast buffet vouchers for each morning. The beach was breathtaking with soft white sand. They also have jet ski, and parasailing activities, but beware of the "choppy" surf. The pool was wonderfull, it has a waterfall in the center. Also there was poolside food and drink service which was a plus. If you have kids this is the place to be! thay have daily activities for them from sundaes to craft making to movies and a dance party. Definately kid friendly! All in all when the day coms that we have kids we will be coming back
A wonderful stay at the Pink Shell

What can I say? I have high standards and all of them were met at the Pink Shell. My family and I had a wonderful vacation on Ft. Myers Beach at the Pink Shell. We've done a considerable amount of traveling and this Hotel was definitely one of the finest! We stayed in the main hotel in one of the two bedroom/three bed rooms. This was the larges hotel room we have ever stayed in...plenty of room for an extended stay. Enjoy.
Very poor customer service

We paid top dollars to be in the White sand tower and we were put in the oldest tower. We have stayed here before and wanted a special resort for our best friends who joined us from Colorado. Needless to say we will not go back, their customer service has really gone downhill. and DON'T LOOSE YOUR FREE BREAKFAST TICKETS! They have a awful system and they do not keep record of the rooms that have not use the tickets, so after calling management we did get new tickets but not without a fight. VERY UPSETTING EXPERIENCE.
