Description: We stayed at this hotel for one night whilst on a visit to Syracuse. This was our first experience of a Homewood Suites hotel and were were not disappointed.
We were greeted at reception y very helpful and friendly staff. I asked for details of local restaurants and was given a list with some suggestions of where the staff member thought we would like best. He also told us that breakfast was served every mooring in the dining area and that drinks were available 24/7 in the lobby.
Our room was in a separate building to the reception and it was a king suite. It consisted of one room with a small kitchenette with electric rings, microwave, dishwasher, sink and fridge/freezer. Cutlery and crookery were provided too.
There was a desk with internet connection with a chair and in addition there was a sofabed and arm chair and coffee table. There was also a flat screen TV with lots of channels as well as per view movies and games.
In the bedroom which could be closed off was a king size bed with a dresser, another flat screen TV and bedside tables. Adjoining the bedroom was a bathroom with vanity area and wardrobe, then a door leading to a separate large shower and toilet.
Everything was very clean and nice. I forget to mention there was also a coffee maker in the kitchen area.
In the morning we had breakfast in the lobby. There was fruit, yoghurt, bread, bagels, waffles etc. The hot choices consisted of bacon, scrambled egg and two other items which were a mystery as there was none available when we were there. They did not get filled during our half hour stay either. It didn't brother us as we had enough, but other people coming down looked a bit annoyed.
Overall the hotel was very nice and I would stay again. The only thing worth a mention is that the rooms are located in a building separate from the lobby and breakfast room. This means venturing outside to get breakfast which was fine for us as the weather was great, but may be a problem if you stay in the winter or when it is raining. Other than that it was a great stay.
