We were pleasantly surprised how enjoyable our stay was at LaQuinta. Very clean, up to date, and service was top notch. Employees very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here if we visit Daytona in the future.

Can't say I would stay here again

There are several reasons to stay at the La Quinta in Daytona - the price is good, breakfast (such as it is) is included, and the staff is very nice. It is not a terrible place and its location is fine if you don't need to be near the beach. There are also several reasons not to stay here. Perhaps BECAUSE it is such a good deal price-wise, it seems to attract a clientele that is not aware of appropriate hotel etiquette. Consequently it is very noisy all through the night as children run up and down halls yelling, people stand in the hallway carrying on loud conversations at 3 and 4 in the morning, doors slam all night long, etc. After two sleepless nights I called the front desk, and was asked to come to the front office to be assigned a room in another "quieter" building, but being uprooted at 2AM didn't do much for my sleep that night either, although I appreciated their immediate and friendly response to my situation. While I was in town for the week, a friend of mine drove across the state to visit and also got a room there. Unable to sleep due to rowdy and intoxicated guests, got up at 3AM and drove home. Another noise issue is that it happens to be at the end of the airport runway, but the jet noise is nothing compared to the noise the other guest made. Since I had to be in town for an entire week, I made the best of it by staying out late and wearing a noise reduction headset to bed. My only other concerns were that housekeeping was not thorough, and breakfast supplies ran out making the meager offerings even less appealing.

This is a great hotel. It was so clean and the service was awesome once we got there. When I was on the phone trying to book however, the woman who answered sounded a little cranky and talked to me like I was stupid. Everything else was great. I didn't get a chance to try out the pool but it looked nice. The rooms were so secure that our key didn't even work. They did issue us a new one though and even walked up to check to make sure the key would work for our room door. It was very quiet at night and during the day other than the party down the hall. It sounded like about 20 people were in there but once you walked past their room you couldn't hear it any more. I just feel bad for whoever was next to them. It is a short drive from the beach and good food. Close enough to the beach without the horrible Daytona traffic. The beds were so comfortable and clean. The rooms were very very clean and smelled nice. The bathrooms had really nice showers with adjustable settings on the showerheads. I wasn't afraid to walk barefoot or put my baby on the bed without a blanket underneath her. The internet connection was very good. I got an excellent signal without having to hunt for it. I loved that we had many outlets and a nice desk so we could charge our phones and have our laptops plugged in at the same time. This is an amazing hotel for the price we paid.

Overnighting before real trip

when my friend & i got off the exit to our hotel we were already pleased with what we saw with just the outside, walkable restaurants, clean grounds, & it didn't give that "all bunched up" feeling. check-in was quick & simple, the room was was very nice, while i did wonder as to why there was no stopper for the tub everything else was worth while. it was close to basically everything we needed, food, things to see places to go, & a staff that was wiling to answer our questions quick & simply. compared to the rest of our trip i would have preferred to have just stayed there the whole time.

I am satisfied

Close to Daytona speedway and Airport. Has a small pool, rooms are pretty clean. Rooms have TV, where you can order movies/music/games of your choice. Has slow wireless connection, but enough to check emails. Serves breakfasts in mornings, which I didn't like much. If you are looking for cheap hotels, just to have somewhere to sleep... Then it is a good choice.
