Nice and Quiet

Began and ended our trip to the keys here, Never flew inti FT Lauderdale or been to Boca before. What a great strat and end. FLL beats the heck outta Miami airport. The hotel was quiet, nice pool, standard continental breakfast. Bentleys next door had a really good bar with 2 for 1 happy hour from 4 to 7. The restaurant was little pricey but the halibut was incredible. $100 for dinner for 2 with a nice bottle of wine/ tip included. right on Hwy 1 , 25 miles north of the airport. 6 blocks to the beach and it was awesome as well. Well worth the drive and the price was great.

Don't Go There

Hotel was "under renovation" that was supposed to be completed by 12/01/08 but continued through my stay from 12/28/08 - 1/04/09. Room and breakfast were average. Parking was difficult due to areas blocked with construction. Hotel front desk said they had a van to the beach (parking is non existant for non-Boaca Raton residents) but van remained unused in pkg. lot 99% of time and when requested, an annoying front desk clerk said it had to be reserved at least 1 day in advance which never allowed me to use it. Had episode of harrassing "wake up calls" where I was called @ 2:30 am - 3:00 am to say "this is your wakeup call" when I never left any such requests. Continued 4 times. Found out that several rooms had this problem. Contacted Boca Raton police who sent a patrol car to check it out. Thought I was getting a bargain for the Holiday season but "Don't Go There." Asked hotel mgr. for some price concession for the aggrevation but he refused anything.

Well worth the money

Nice place to stay for the money. Good safe place to stay. Loved the area. If you have time there is a nice park two streets up. I think 28th street. The kids loved it and it was free to get in. The staff were nice too.

Clean, lived up to my expectations, great value.

I assumed we got a great rate based on the thinking we weren't staying directly on the beach but after becoming familiar with the area, it became obvious there were no hotels located on the beach, just high priced condos, so I was thrilled that we hadn't paid a higher rate somewhere else thinking we would be on the beach. We had a less than 5-minute drive & had absolutely no trouble finding parking at the beach. Room was clean & spacious & easily satisfied our needs. Hotel was probably less than 10% occupied the entire time but I think this was a reflection of Boca not being a vacation destination or just that people weren't there the same time as we rather than anything wrong at the hotel as apparently there were very few people at other hotels since we saw less than ten people at the beach each day. We had the pool & hot tub to ourselves but the temperature of the water in the tub made it unusable. The only negatives were that the restaurant & lounge were supposed to open at 5pm Tue-Sat but it never opened during our stay. Day clerks/housekeeping were friendly & helpful but don't expect anything after 5pm as there is no maintenance staff then & the evening desk clerk is useless. Our TV remote quite working & our room phone never worked, remote was repaired the following morning. Continental breakfast was great every day with the only problem being that the attendant was constantly looming & making so much noise that it made it difficult to enjoy our meal. Remodeling crew works seldom if at all. I don't see me visiting Boca again but I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I did. DON'T EAT AT ROMANOS!

We arrived around ten o'clock at night and the front desk staff was very nice. We ordered a pizza because it was so late and she called to let us know that it was coming up to our room which was very appreciated. They have a great diner right across the street called Boca Diner we ate there a couple of times during our stay and we really enjoyed the local atmosphere. We were so close to the beaches- just go up the street and take a right and go down and your on A1A . If you go make sure to drive down A1A to Deerfield Beach it's great and there's alot of little shops and resturants. Also we fell in love with a resturant called The Cove in Deerfield it's right on the water and the food was excellent a little pricy but total worth it, we had the best steak and ribs ever and will return on our next trip down. Overall for the little money we spent and all the things we got to experience it counld not of been better. We will stay here anytime we are in the Boca deerfield area.
