This hotel was fine for the money. We stayed in a Milford club room, and it was very small, but normal for the city. My friensd stayed at another hotel a few blocks away for the same money and got HUGE rooms (Flatotel). Overall, for the location, not too bad, though. Great view from our room, but just small and older.
Milford Plaza--a great value!

Milford Plaza is located in the heart of the theater district within easy walking distance of 5th Ave shopping, great restaurants and pubs in the immediate vicinity, Broadway shows, everything one needs for a quick getaway to the Big Apple! Service was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Our room was small, but a corner room with extra windows made it pleasant. The beds and linens were of good quality and it was extremely clean. I highly recommend it for travelers who want to spend their days and evenings enjoying NYC,, and not paying hundreds of dollars on a hotel room. It is a great value for the buck!

When you arrive, check in is up 1 floor. The clerk was excellent & friendly. Everything was booked as promised and they were very accomodating and pleasant. To get passed security to get onboard elevators, you MUST present your room key - no exceptions - which is a safety feature that we liked very much and felt more secure. Our room was small, but, since we didn't spend much time except for sleeping, it was perfect. The bathroom was very small, enough room for 1 person but was clean. The hotel is in an awesome location--1 block off of Times Square, all the Theatre's and so much more. Subway is 2 blocks away and we enjoyed riding it to the Statue, Wall street, etc. The deco could use some updating but again, just for a sleeping room it's excellent. l don't know if we will stay elsewhere when we return because we felt it was definetely the Best for the Buck! Everyone we talked to in New York, at the hotels, subways, Starbucks, Police officers, etc., were so friendly and seemed excited to share their GREAT city and adventures with us. We can't wait to return! Thank you New Yorkers!
Birthday trip for my daughter to New York

My 27 year old daughter who has undergone 6 years of cancer treatment wanted to go to New York for her birthday since I had some expiring flight vouchers. We travelled by taxi from La Guardia (about $35.00 with tip). When you arrive, you go up 1 floor, by escalator, to check-in. The clerk wanted to argue with me that I had only made reservations for 1 person, but finally arranged for a room with twin beds. You have to present your room key to go enter the elevators, which is a safety feature that I liked. Our room was very small, with barely enough room to walk around the beds. One small closet that had a safe and an iron, but no ironing board. The bathroom was also very small-just enough room for 1 person while getting ready to go out. The walls had a considerable amount of mold. The hotel is in an EXCELLENT location--1 block off of Broadway Times Square very close to Hard Rock Cafe, Bubba Gump's, Planet Hollywood. The subway is just a few blocks down, as is Macy's. Central Park is within easy walking distance. If you just want a place to sleep and shower, this is a great place, but if you want luxury, choose the Waldorff.

A friend and I took our teen-age sons, (18 & 19), to NYC for a mom/son trip. For our purposes, our room was fine. We were in NYC to sightsee, not hangout in a hotel room! As 2 women travelin w/"kids" we felt safe staying here. My friend is returning next month on a "girls trip" and has booked in the Milford again. I've stayed in other NYC hotels and would stay at the Milford again.
