Probably The Worst Hotel In NYC!

There are 20-30 other hotels within a five block radius of this terrible place. Don't ruin your trip by staying at this old dump. The rooms are completely depressing, dark and tiny with ripped curtains, beat-up furniture and collapsed beds. As of 9/30/08 there are renovations happening, but they appear to be on the outside of the building and there is tremendous noise, scaffolding surrounding the building and garbage everywhere on the sidewalks around the hotel. The front desk clerks were nice, but the Manager was obnoxious and completely unhelpful. The Security personnel scattered everywhere in the lobby are angry and intimidating. Which makes the entire experience of staying at this hotel a pretty awful experience. As I said, there are numerous other alternatives if you need to stay in this neighborhood and if you want to have a great trip to New York City, please stay elsewhere.
Ok for one nights stay

We recently stayed at the Milford Plaza and for one night it's ok. The room was the smallest I've ever seen. We're fortunate that we had upgraded to a Deluxe Queen or who knows what we would have gotten. The bath room was very cramped and proportionate with the room. Meaning very small. No place to set toiletries except the floor. The bath tub had mold in it. A little X14 mold spray would have taken care of that. The place could have been cleaner. But like I said for one night it was ok. Any longer and it's not worth it. I would recommend the Westin just down the street. We usually stay there for a few bucks more but they were booked. And the Westin is a very nice hotel. Each time we stayed at the Westin we had a wonderful view of the Empire State Building. As far as the staff at the Milford they were good.

I had mixed feelings about this Hotel based on the reviews. The room is small but all rooms are small in New York. There is more space then other reviewers say. It was a Great place to stay for the price. Just blocks away from Times Square and most Broadway shows. I even needed to stay an extra day and they accomadated me very easily and let me stay in the same room. There was some consrtuction and the escalator did was being worked on but unless you are expecting the Ritz you should be pleased. The only problem was the elevator system, at busy times it took a while to get to your room or the ground floor. We stayed there for a week and did not want to leave.

Great location one street over from Times Square. Very large, anonymous hotel. Staff was friendly but more like a bus station than a hotel experience. I'd stay there again if I couldn't find anything better but you can get more value for your money. By thee way tehre was no breakfast and you had to pay for the internet.

The first room was like a closet and had mold and mildew in the bathroom. My soon has many allergies. We went called the front desk and were asked to come down to talk with a manager. He spent a long time trying to locate another room. We then got a new room and the bathroom floor had standing water. We were so tired we threw towels on the floor and left the next morning. Old building but great location.
