Location is good, not too far from the airport and centrally located . . . I was first checked into a room that smelled like smoke, so I went back to the front desk and asked for a non smoking room. They claimed that they didn't have one. But my tour guide insisted, so then I got a new room. Other than check-in, the hotel staff were very helpful. The new room was just fine. The decor was excellent . . . great view across the street . . . everything was new or newer. The beds were pretty low to the floor and hard, but I didn't mind. (At least they weren't old) My main complaint was even though it was cold outside (this was November) and you could open the window to get fresh air (okay fresh smog), there was no air conditioning and poorly ventilated so that the room was very hot all night . . . hampering my ability to get a good night's sleep. Beijing is very dry, so not having a fan in the bathroom wasn't a nightmare, but the bathroom door didn't close all the way, so privacy with a roommate was an issue. I only ate breakfast there, but it was good . . . not especially memorable either way, just good. All in all, if it weren't for the bad ventilation, I'd be happy to stay there again . . .

This has got to be one of the greatest hotels I have been to. I went to Beijing in February of 2006, and this hotel was outstanding. It's just minutes away from downtown, great location, marble is everywhere, very clean, excellent service, outstanding breakfast, lunch and dinner services. It also has a great gym and spa. This is a great hotel, it rivals any hotel that I habe been too in the United States!
