This is a fairly large complex where you can request a lake view room or a central garden view for a cheaper rate. The sunny bright yellow and cream complex has a chalet-like feel to it but is really light and cheery. The central lobby is large with plenty of comfortable couches that can be seen from the bar above. At the back of the room is a computer with internet access for guests. The breakfast room is huge...large enough to not look crowded even with the two tour buses having breakfast at the same time. You have your choice of a smaller cold buffet with cereal, fruit, yogurts, cheese, rolls, bread and drinks for $10NZ or belly up for the larger hot buffet. ( eggs, bangers, spiced potato''s, bacon, etc.) You can also order an individual item from the regular menu.
The rooms are 3 star hotel faire with two double beds and a full sized ensuite bath. Rooms come with movie channels, mini-bar, coffee or tea services, and blow dryers in the bathroom. The view over the lake was the greatest selling point for this location!
Another great thing is the guest laundry rooms on each floor! There''s nothing worse than traveling all over town trying to find a washer/dryer and having to stick around waiting! Copthorne Lakefront makes traveling so much easier!
If you drove, there is an underground parking facility that is monitored. It is included in the price of your room.
