Beware of room 330

The hotel was old and the furniture showed the age but it was clean. We locked the deadbolt at night and in the morning, couldn't turn it far enough to unlock it. The manager, had to come up and unlock it with a key from the outside - yes, we were locked in our room. Could have lived with that except the mgr had a real flippant attitude about the whole thing which rubbed us the wrong way. He didn't seem to care that we were locked in or about fixing it before the next guests arrived. By the way, the manager is the owner's brother. The lady at the front desk was more sympathic about the whole situation. Honestly, everyone else we dealt with there was nice except the manager. We did let the "corporate" office know but, bascially, we heard that each hotel has it's own owner and they'd forward my message. No surprise that I haven't heard anything from them.

I was disappointed. The room was shabby, the chair covering was filthy, the door was thin with a crack to the outside and the bathroom door had a fist dent in it. I wouldn't recommend it.

We falsely understood this to have an indoor pool --- it is outdoor and was open (end of Sept) but very cold. We also were absolutely unable to get an internet connection. My husband tried late into the evening with no success. Rooms were compact.

Room was ok for the price. Ice machine on 3rd floor didn't work and I had to trek back to the front desk and then down to the first around in back for ice. The hotel is old, but everything in my room functioned. Nice to have coffee in the room and breakfast provided, which was fine for the price. Advertised price on banner out front was lower than what I paid. I was visiting family in town so wasn't in the room except to sleep so it was ok.
