HGVC on the Las Vegas Strip

  • March 21, 2007
  • Rated 5 of 5 by krunmac from Annapolis, Maryland
The 2 bedroom suite was beatuifully decorated and very comfortable. The pool was very nice although we were so busy we didn't spend much time there. The property staff was very helpful. Beware that the "Free Tour" is an upsell to current members and unless you are planning to upgrade you club membership, something to be avoided.

We went for the sales preview and stayed in a 1 bdr. suite.Beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked with everything including a washer/dryer.Comfortable feather pillows, bed and great view of the city lights. The pool was great.Staff is very friendly. I did not purchase the club timeshare at this time but will definitely return and thankful they do take reservations. It is on the strip but not in the busiest area so it was quick in and out even down to the valet was awesome!

HGVC on the Las Vegas Strip

HGVClub on Las Vegas Boulevard is the perfect place for people who like to go to Las Vegas, but don't care about gambling. Most people visit Las Vegas for the gambling, but we go for the weather, scenery, and the things there are to do besides gambling. I'm sure we're not the only ones who love Vegas for this reason.

The HGVClub on Las Vegas Blvd. is located right on the strip and is still under construction. Nevertheless, it's a quiet place to stay and the employees are very helpful and want to make sure your stay will be the best stay you've ever had. There are many activities at the resort and an absolutely gorgeous pool area, but no slot machines or gambling of any kind.

Walking on the property you'll get the feeling you're in Hawaii instead of Las Vegas as it looks just as tropical as the Hawaiian Islands.

If you do want to the Las Vegas thing, gambling, you are still very close to all of the Las Vegas casinos with several of them within walking distance.

The rooms are very nicely equipped with wide screen TV, Jacuzzi, washer and dryer, high speed Internet and a full kitchen.

HGVC at the Flamingo

We always try to stay here due to the wonderful location and marvelous amenities! We had a 2 bedroom to share with another couple. Full kitchen; washer and dryer; full den; nice, large TVs in every room with VCR/DVD and CD player. Access to the goreous Flamingo pool plus a smaller private pool and hot tub. In bedroom huge Jacuzzi. Beautiful rooms and wonderful place to visit with friends and have morning breakfast and coffee before heading out for the day. Location is perfect for catching the monorail at the Flamingo. Nice to be able to walk right out of hotel and not have to weed way thru a casino!

TIPS:

Shortcuts if staying in the Flamingo HGVC

To hit the Strip going south a great shortcut is to walk behind the hotel across Flamingo to the Race and Sports Book entrance to Bally’s—(great cheapy LV souvenir shop and eateries, pizza, etc.)—from there it is all inside to walk to the Mall area connecting to Paris—much faster than hiking to the front of Flamingo to Barbary Coast and across the walkway, etc.

Also very convenient using Koval to walk to Ellis Island.

Very convenient to get to the Westin for 25 cent roulette and $1 craps table—every weekday night 5pm-10pm.

If in the Flamingo itself—this is the first year I found the hallway that leads to Margaritaville. I am all for walking inside as much as possible—it is cooler and it bypasses the masses on the sidewalk. For those of you interested in the location—inside the casino, head toward the front entrance that is directly in front of the fountains at Caesar's Palace—stop just before going out the door—to the right is a hallway—above it is a sign that says something about "Margaritaville"—you can walk thru the gift shop of Margaritaville and even thru the restaurant entrance area and it places you right at the corner to cross over to Caesar's Palace at the light or you can cross over to head on down the block by O’Sheas up to the Venetian, etc. It saves a lot of time if lots of folks are on the sidewalk and it is nice and cool.
