The Hyatt Regency is located directly in downtown Atlanta, which brings it close to tourist attractions like the Georgia Aquarium or world of Coca Cola, which are highly recommandable sites to visit. It is surrounded by bars, theatres and restaturants.
The hotel itsself offers any kind of business related comfort you need - big conference rooms, ball rooms, meeting areas, a business center to print and fax.
The rooms are unfonrtunately a little old fshioned and have a sencond hand touch for the main tower. The hotel has additional guest room towers, from which I only know the Radius tower. The rooms here are modern, stylish, but a little too small, so you feel the need to leave the room quite often. They offer Flatpanel TV, internetconnection (9.99 US$ per day) and a nice bathroom. Each room has a very large window of about 6 square-meters, which, during the winter season, cools down the room over night as you can't leave the AC turned on, as it is too noisy.
Something that is really remarkable is the gym, which open 24hrs. It offers all kinds of machinery for any kind of workout.
All in all a recommandable hotel for business conferences, but you need to accept a lower level of comfort.
Would not recommend to anyone

First, let me say the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The room was another story. Our first room (on the 9th floor of the International Tower) was horrible. The toilet and carpet in the room were very dirty. We asked for another room and were offered another in the same tower - which was also dirty.
We finally ended up in the Atrium tower (I think that's the name - it's the one where the doors face the lobby). The room in that tower was at least clean, but it definitely showed its age (had some shabby areas - esp. in the bathroom).
Overall, I was quite disappointed in this particular Hyatt experience. I expected much better from Hyatt. I think the hotel could benefit from upgrading their older rooms and should provide free Internet access (see my comments on that in the next paragraph).
Additionally, they charge $* a night for valet parking (not $* like travel agent indicates - perhaps outdated info). There is no other parking option at the hotel, such as self-parking, although there are outdoor lots in the vicinity that are cheaper. They also charge $* a day for Internet access from your room - which is a rip-off. Internet access should be free with the room. I was travelling on business and needed to access my work email, etc., on my company laptop. I have already given feedback to the travel group for my company that this hotel should NOT be used by the company anymore.
