The place to stay for a family get away

My husband and I debated for a while on where we wanted to go just to get away and spend quality time together with our 2 year old daughter. We reviewed the comments from others who went and then we decided to book the trip and go. Oh my goodness it was all worth it. The staff at the hotel treated us like we are apart of a big family. Room service came a few times each day to make sure we are ok and do not need anything. From what I know typically we have to call for room service at any other hotel you go to. The food was magnificent and let me not talk about the waiters and waitresses. They all were so nice especially X he was so naturally outgoing and curteous with eary guest he touched. I love the pool and my daughter loved it more. She wanted to stay in it all day but we would go down to the pool atleast 3 times for the day. Even the guest were friendly and nice. The beach is just right there and it was a pleasure to feel like you are in paradise. I have told everyone I have been in contact with already about the is wonderful resort. So we will definately be back. Thanks for a wonderdul stay...

We have vacationed at the Shores Resort for the past three years and we keep coming back because it is such a great place. Unlike other hotels in Daytona, being at the Shores makes you feel pampered and like you are off on a little island all your own. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed (great beds, linens, bathrooms, 42" plasma TV, & sitting area) and include high speed internet service, plus room service is quick and the food is awesome. We had breakfast in our room three days and sat out on our lanai and looked at the beach as we ate. The restaurant Azure is fabulous. We had dinner there one evening and sat on the veranda enjoying the view and the live entertainment. The food here is pricey but worth every penny. Delicious! Tiki bar at the pool is great for getting cool drinks and they were quick to produce them. If you are traveling to Daytona, this is the place to stay without question.

I went with my 2 teenage children and all of us had a wonderful time at this resort. The pool, food, and valet parking were all exceptional. I will definitely be coming back! We love the area-- and have now found a place that we also like. I loved that we could bring our small dog too- they have a certain floor and rooms for pets (all are double door too). The fire by the pool at night was great. You won't be disappointed here.

Amazing

What a wonderful hotel. The staff was exceptional, the rooms were very large and well appointed and the facilities were the best. We did have a problem with our air conditioner, however it was immediately fixed. There are 2 fire-pits by the pool area which are lit at night and we did not have any problem obtaining a seat around them each night to roast marshmallows. We would definitely stay here anytime we are in the area.

Disappointing

It was okay, but not as great as I would expect. Housekeeping does not do a very good job cleaning the rooms. You have to request to have your sheets changed and you have to put dirty towels on the floor in order to get clean new ones. The glasses in the bathroom were never changed out. The pool area is not very secure-the gate is open and locals who live in the apartments across the street frequent it in the evening. The restaurant is grossly overpriced. The staff is very friendly and almost always opened the door when you walked in and out. However, you had to walk across an overpass to get to the free parking. They also gave us the song and dance about the hotel being overbooked and not being able to provide a king size room. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable.
