We have stayed in at least six different hotels on Daytona Beach over the years, visiting with family in the area. The Shores Resort & Spa is heads above the rest in every respect -- immaculately clean, elegantly fitted out from the lobby to the pool deck to the individual rooms, and staffed with the some of the most friendly and helpful people we have encountered anywhere. Even a painting contractor we encountered one morning after breakfast alerted the front desk that our key card lock was malfunctioning. Help arrived promptly! And the breakfast -- not included in room charge but worth every penny! Served by generous and attentive wait staff, the breakfast menu is scrumptious (and not expensive). Our ocean-front room had the most comfortable bed we've slept in anywhere. Perhaps it was the sound of the waves coming through the slightly open windows! The jacuzzi on the pool deck, with wine from the nearby bar, provided a relaxing end to each day.

i stayed here from 6-21 to 6-23. this place is ok. not to far from all the action. the room was good. my only problem was that the ac kept goin out. They would come repair it but it would start blowing warm air in a few hours.

The best vacation ever for under $* time of my life. a whole week of complete peace. room service indescribable. beds were great. waiters always friendly. great rental car.

I was not pleased with my stay at the Shores Resort and Spa. First of all, I was not pleased with my room and when I requested to have the room changed, I was told that someone would call me back. Unfortunately, no one ever did. Then, I was not happy that you had to park across the street and was charged $* a day for that. The location of the hotel was at least 3 miles away from anything and the hotel staff did not make you feel welcomed. I will not ever stay there again, nor would have my worst enemy stay there, it was that bad of an experience. I wished I had chosen to stay at the Wyndham like I had planned on to begin with. This was the worst resort that I have ever stayed at.

Excellant, front desk was helpful and friendly. Room service was quick and kept the room
clean.The outside was beatiful and right on the beach. You can have room service or you can enjoy your meal on the stone terrace overlooking the pool and ocean. Overall it is a wonderful place for the family. It is located south of daytona and much quieter. If you like beaches with no one on them ; take a trip north on a1a about 20 minutes to Flagler beach.
