i stayed here from 6-21 to 6-23. this place is ok. not to far from all the action. the room was good. my only problem was that the ac kept goin out. They would come repair it but it would start blowing warm air in a few hours.

We have vacationed at the Shores Resort for the past three years and we keep coming back because it is such a great place. Unlike other hotels in Daytona, being at the Shores makes you feel pampered and like you are off on a little island all your own. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed (great beds, linens, bathrooms, 42" plasma TV, & sitting area) and include high speed internet service, plus room service is quick and the food is awesome. We had breakfast in our room three days and sat out on our lanai and looked at the beach as we ate. The restaurant Azure is fabulous. We had dinner there one evening and sat on the veranda enjoying the view and the live entertainment. The food here is pricey but worth every penny. Delicious! Tiki bar at the pool is great for getting cool drinks and they were quick to produce them. If you are traveling to Daytona, this is the place to stay without question.

Wonderful Stay!

I went with my 2 teenage children and all of us had a wonderful time at this resort. The pool, food, and valet parking were all exceptional. I will definitely be coming back! We love the area-- and have now found a place that we also like. I loved that we could bring our small dog too- they have a certain floor and rooms for pets (all are double door too). The fire by the pool at night was great. You won't be disappointed here.

Disappointing

It was okay, but not as great as I would expect. Housekeeping does not do a very good job cleaning the rooms. You have to request to have your sheets changed and you have to put dirty towels on the floor in order to get clean new ones. The glasses in the bathroom were never changed out. The pool area is not very secure-the gate is open and locals who live in the apartments across the street frequent it in the evening. The restaurant is grossly overpriced. The staff is very friendly and almost always opened the door when you walked in and out. However, you had to walk across an overpass to get to the free parking. They also gave us the song and dance about the hotel being overbooked and not being able to provide a king size room. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable.

Not worth the money

I was looking for a nice quiet upscale hotel and spa. What I got was a noisy hotel full of drunkards. Unknown to me, nearly the entire hotel had been bought out by a corporate organization for the week I was there. The hotel catered to this group and essentially ignored the lone traveler like myself. I had difficult time getting service at the bar and restaurant, the pool was overcrowded, and the beach chairs and cabanas reserved for the corporation. Worst yet, the appointments for the spa had been bought out. The reputation of the spa was one of my deciding factors for choosing the hotel. Needless to say, disappointing. While the rooms were overall very nice and the view of the ocean was fabulous, I feel that that I could have spent much less money for the same ammenities elsewhere on the beach.
