Plumbing Problem

We arrived 30 minutes before check-in time and rather than give us a room, they told us we'd have to come back. When we came back 30 minutes later, they said our room wasn't ready so they were "upgrading" us to a "suite". What we got was really just a large room lined with furniture all around the walls. For example, one of the many pieces of furniture was a coffee table, but since there wasn't a sofa or anything for it to be in front of, it just lined the wall. The main problem with the room was that the hot water faucet in the tub was pouring hot water at a very fast rate and nothing you could do would shut it off. We reported it immediately and several times thereafter, and they did absolutely nothing about it. We thought that the hotel was wasting a lot of money letting all that hot water pour down the drain. In order not to hear the pouring water, we had to close the bathroom door. When we would open the door, the bathroom would be full of steam and be very, very hot - like a sauna. I really don't think I would stay here again, and I recommend you look elsewhere for a place to stay.

We always stay here when in the Bakersfield area. The grounds are beautiful and most all rooms face the pool. They are in the process of remodeling the rooms (much needed). The pool is not heated, so forget using it unless its summer but there is is hot tub. Staff is friendly and quick to meet your needs. Considering the free breakfast, this is a great value and good place to stay.

Big TV. Plumbing older but worked well. Rooms are nice sized, mostly quiet and any problems were dealt with quickly and friendly. Staff always nice. Free breakfast, one menu item only, is good. I always stay on business.
