Disgusting Service

This is a disgusting hotel. The front desk person is an old guy who is also disgusting. He does not know how to treat customers. I was really nice to him and he basically kicked me out of the hotel on the day I checked in. He would not give me my full refund back. He basically stole my money($200). He did all of this because when I checked in the hotel the room was not what I requested. I wanted a non-smoking room and the place stunk. All I asked was to give me another room and I asked nicely and he wouldn't do it. Do not check in this hotel EVEN IF YOU ARE DESPARATE. Not only are they horrible but the hotel also is. A woman in the hotel wouldn't leave me alone trying to buy my purse. When I said no she said I was a drug dealer.

I was staying in Flagstaff with my wife and 2 boys for a quick spring break trip to the Grand Canyon. I picked Travelodge because I was on a tight budget. I made my arrangements, and prepaid online. I arrived at Travelodge and checked in for 2 days. I told the clerk I had a reservation, he said ok I have it here, I handed him my ID and credit card, and then he charged my credit card for 2 nights. I ask him why he charged my credit card he said this is the way we do it, we charge you for our piece. I went and checked my bank account and sure enough I had been charged twice. My trip was now being ruined, from the start, and I had $ less to spend on my trip. Neither Travelodge or the online company would give me an immediate refund. Travelodge just flat out refused, and they said a week, after 5 or 6 calls about an hour a piece. Its been almost 3 weeks and I still do not have my refund.

Trains all night. Too expensive for what you get - not even a good night sleep. I guess we deserve what we got since we took our chances not getting reservations ahead of time somewhere else. At this point we were just lucky to get a room. We definitely would NEVER stay here again.

The worst 3 hours at a hotel

The toilet wouldnt flush upon our arrival to the room. They sent a maintenance person to fix it, and it worked ok, then when we returned to the room after the days activities once again it wouldn't work. They refused to give us another room, or our money back. They were so rude, and not apologetic for their broken toilet. They said it wasn't their problem. The towels were dirty and the shower didnt look clean at all. They said the room was non smoking, but it smelled of smoke, We left 3 hours after checking in, and we will never go back!!

Was promised a suite, not delivered. Tv remote (all three of them) inoperable. Oh yes, did i forget to mention TRAINS!!!! All night long, every (it seemed) twenty minutes. Reminiscent of the I Love Lucy episode where the beds moved around due to train vibrations. Laughable now, not then. Bring double ear protection! A rip off for the price you pay, pretty crummy place.
