stayed here 4 or 5 times my choice for hotel in redding, friendly easy going staff, my room was clean every time the breakfast is unmatched anywhere clean pool, if your late checking out the desk doesnt call you a couple thousand times wondering when your checking out, all this for $* a night??? without AAA???? it does not get better than that go ahead and pay * a night at red lion for an older room and an over priced bar i rarely ever lock my car and here is no different, seconds from the I-5 yet you cant hear it low traffic area as well you will not be disappointed

We stayed in a King Suite with a jacuzzi tub. We enjoyed it very much. They supplied bathrobes and large towels next to the tub. They also supplied razors, shaving gel, toothbrushes, toothpaste, a comb, as well as shampoo and lotion. We didn't use the shower but it looked nice. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows to choose from. They had a flat screen TV with many channels to choose from. There was also a balcony that overlooked the swimming pool and hot tub with a table and chairs. The breakfast bar was a pretty typical bar with waffles, muffins, bagels, fruit, juice, coffee, etc. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice and I think it was heated. Some other people did use it. The room was quiet and comfortable. I will definately stay here again.

My wife and I stayed in a Vagabond in Sacramento and liked it. This Vagbond was far inferior, filthy, noisy, in a terrible neighborhood. The blankets had stains and were threadbare. The room was in general tattered and filthy. The pool wasn't even heated. At 3:00 AM garbage trucks created very loud noise and woke everybody up. Staff were indifferent. It was such a horrible experience I cut my trip short. It's cheap but still not worth it.

Great place for the money

Really enjoyed the facility. Wanted to make a quick trip to the Shasta area and this property fit the bill. Great location, day front desk staff excellent, clean rooms, great breakfast. Only a couple things to improve on: 1/The evening staff is not informed about local attractions. No effort was made to find out answers to our questions. 2/A note on the side door leading from the parking lot said that you needed your room key for access into the bldg. Wrong. We staying there could come and go at will by just opening the door...meaning anyone else could too!

I was very pleased with my stay here recently. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the room was spotless, the AC was nice and cold (it was 100 degrees outside), the staff were very courteous and efficient, and convenient parking was available. When I return to the Redding area I will absolutely stay here again. Only 1 minor issue: the shower head needed replacing. Big deal.
