Enjoyed both stays

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past 6 months. Front desk staff is friendly and courteous. The second stay included taking my pet (black lab) who was welcomed with open arms and kind words. I noticed that the front desk area had cameras of the front and back areas (especially where I walked the dog at all hours of the day and night), so I felt like I was safe. I plan on staying there again within the next month or so. If I have any complaint it would be that the beds are high and I am short, lol, but that is absolutely no big deal. The beds were extremely comfortable and we really only needed a room and shower that were clean and we definitely got it. Another plus is the refrigerator and microwave...not that we used the microwave but it was nice knowing we could. One other thing I loved (being a plus size person) was the curved shower curtain rod.....really added to the shower.

Super 8 - Spring Lake, NC

Upon my recent travel to North Carolina my husband and I stayed at the Super 8 in Spring Lake. When we arrived this hotel was undergoing construction, there was debris everywhere, the doors to the back of the hotel were duct taped open so people could come and go without passing through the front doors, we were unable to open the curtains to our room due to workers being directly outside the room. This hotel is located not far from an unsafe area of Spring Lake, with seedy entertainment out on the streets.

Served our purpose very well

We traveled to NC to attend a family wedding, staying at the Super8 for four nights. From our first experience with the front desk, it was apparent that the staff of this motel really cared. I know that sounds hokey. But at every turn, someone asked if we needed anything, could they help with anything, etc. Now, it IS a Super8. And it's not new. If you're looking for posh, or elegant, or stylish, this is not for you. It is a little run down. There are few amenities. But unlike some higher end hotels I've stayed at lately, the wireless Internet was free, there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room, the TV had lots of channels, and breakfast was available until 10. For the money, not too bad a return. But it was the people who made it special. It's obvious that the new management is working on making the place shine. Some new landscaping went in while we stayed there. It's also convenient to several restaurants, only a few minutes from Fort Bragg, and about 20 minutes from Fayetteville. All in all, we were happy with our decision to stay at the Super8 Spring Lake. And if our travels take us back that way, we'd probably stay there again.

Cost Effective and Clean

For the price it was a nice hotel. The bed is not good. The staff was friendly and it was clean. Not near any good restaurants or shopping. I would stay there again.

Good enough for the money

You can't really expect perfection in a budget motel but this place was a good value for the price. The room was relatively clean and functioning. Not much available for the free breakfast but there are places nearby if you want to eat heavier. Location depends on your needs but I would not consider this a tourist or vacation spot. Free high speed internet worked great.
