Our stay was for three nights, upon arrival we noticed that one of the rooms had duck tape on the carpet for about a full foot from the door. The mirrors had at least a half inch of dust on them as did the pictures. The hallway had a very strange odor for the whole stay. The bedspread on one of the beds had a big hole in it. The vanity area was very shabby and in need of a paint job. Am just wondering if this is the next hotel to be inploded.
The front desk staff was far from friendly and on one occasion quite rude. I have stayed at other properties on the strip and agree that you sure do get what you pay for.

I really enjoy my stay, check in was no problem, The room was better then what I was expecting for the price we paid. The beds were excellent and so was the service there.
The only complaint I had was there was not a COFFEE MAKER in room.
Will not be going back for a room

Although we really like this hotels casino and resteraunts, the rooms are very shabby and the showers did not work properly.
If you like your Showers either freezing cold or scolding hot, then this is the place for you, if you want a cheap hotel on the strip, and dont mind what it looks like or how clean it is, then this is for you.
I was told by another guest that you get what you pay for with this hotel, and that they would not been returning either.
As for the casino part of this hotel, it was great.....they do the best deals on the strips, for members, and have plenty of tables and slots.
The restaraunts are great, especially the buffet.
The next time i go to Vegas, i will book at another hotel, but would definatly go back to this one for the casino and food part!
Oh and we never saw one security guard in the 4 days ( including the weekend) sat at his seat by the elevaters to check people that where going up to the rooms!

The Sahara is in need of some renovations. At times, I thought the elevator would just fall apart. They had a nice pool and friendly staff. The buffet was good and decently priced. The hotel had easy close access to the monorail which is nice to get to more fun, newer hotels on the strip. (beware, the monorail does not operate 24 hours a day)
I had to wait to get into my room because they had to clean it. Once I got it, it did not look clean. I would probably not stay here again. It would be worth a little extra money to stay somewhere a bit nicer, that is closer to all the action on the strip.

stayed there quite some time ago before everyone owned cell phones. I called home on the room phone and used my calling card for charges. at checkout time I was charged $65.00 for one phone call and was very rudely reprimanded for using the phone. Told just like home you have to pay for the phone. Have not been back and truly loved my Las Vegas trips but this instance ruined the whole trip for me.
