Good news/bad news

Not real happy overall. The temp in the room was both extremes. Had to call to get our room cleaned after it got overlooked the second time. The check-in was very slow even though there were very few people in line. The hallways were extremely warm. The casino was the one bright spot. It offered a wide variety of table games and the dealers were friendly enough. Probably won't be my first pick if we ever go back.

No Big Whoop.

The Sahara is fine. It's a hotel. I slept there, showered there, and that's about it. All hotels have their ups and downs- the ups at Sahara were: if you join the players club, you get a cheap buffet. The room was clean and there were plenty of towels. The downs of Sahara: uhh... soda machine stole my change. Who cares.

OK, So I am not the pickiest guy ever. I have been in good places in Vegas and I have been in cheap places there as well. The Sahara is cheap, and although on the strip, it is not the best location. The internet service which is NOT free went down for half a day, but I was charged for the full price... no discount? nope. Also, don't get fooled by the price there are some facility fees when you get there. What in the world is a facility fee? are you paying for staying there? I thought that's what the room rate was for. The paint was not in good condition. It felt like a giant Super 8. Now, as far as the Casino goes, that I liked. You don't have to be super rich to play here, and it is not as modern as the new Casino's but the dealers were mostly fun, and I decided to do most of my playing there. Shout Out to X and X for being way awesome with the players even when we were losing lol. I think that is way important, because it makes me want to stay and play there again

Not the best

In additon to paying my fee's through online tyravel website I had to pay an addition service charge when I got there. Service charge for what? they had no explination for me. The carpet was so durty and smelled funny. The room had a water leak, so we informed the font desk and they didn't do anything about it. The only good thing about the hotel services were the house keeping people. They left us new towels each day and took the trash out everyday. We parked in the parking structure on the first day and when we went the next morning to get our car, the car next to us had been broken into and stold all there belongings. So that means there is no security or cameras checking on the parking structure from the hotel. I wasn't the happiest camper. I guess you get what you pay for!

OK considering the price

The room was OK considering the price. Bed was just fine. It was nothing fancy. It was clean. The hotel adds a $6 per day fee that is not included in the online travel website price. Internet is $13 per 24 hours, not free. WiFi signal was too weak to work. I had to be tethered to a very short cord for the wired internet.
