Clean rooms, but the air would not shut off, and got pretty cold in room at night, even after turning it down. Tub would not drain, reported it twice, and no one came to repair.
This place needs to be torn down!!!

I would like to warn you on the cleanliness of the Sahara Hotel, from the main halls to the rooms it is dirty. The room I stayed in had bed bugs; I had multiple bites including some on my face. I was miserable for most of my trip. The hotel moved us to another room and gave me a comp of whoa a whole $20 and acted like the bites where no big deal. They explained it happens because of the variety of travelers that visit their hotel. I know I will never ever stay in a cheap room again.
One more thing,
Sahara?s all you can eat buffet are like reheated TV dinners. It?s smarter to save your money for the McDonalds across the street.
still a nice hotel

I have stayed at the sahara 3 times the first time in 2005 and will stay there again, yes its a old hotel, yes it could do with decorating, but my room was clean, comfortable, and big,the staff were friendly has they always were, food places was good, nascar cafe you cannot get a better snack for the price and the amount of food served is huge, share a plate, buffet dinning room a little bit on the expensive side. The sahara is at the end of the strip but buses and monarail right outside. The swimming pool is very nice and relaxing.Casino nice and staff there are very friendly. If you are looking for a nice, cheap hotel the sahara is the place to stay.

I just stayed at the hotel and I don't know if it was becasue it was a busy holiday weekend and they where understaffed or they just did not care. The first room I was given was great the only problem was that it had not been cleaned since the last quest. It was a rude awakening to have to lug myslef and my travel companion back to the front desk to request another room. Easy enough a new room was given with a smile and I thought my problems where over..only to find...that the new room was in wore condition than the first. I can put up with a lot for a cheep room but this was a little much. In an effort not to gross out the reader to the point of projectile vomitting let me just say that there were certain aritcles of human refuse in the bathrom. I called the front desk and someone was sent up to clean and I thought my troubles then were over...I was wrong. I went to take a shower and the water would not drain out of the tub. Stuck in the drain seamed to be clumps of hair and other unidentifiable material. At this point I knew I was not going to walk away happy from this place. Although the staff was responive the were far from effective. I would avoid this place at all costs.
Sahara is hot! LOVE IT!

Tell you what... Slip the hotel clerk a tip and watch your money square in hotel comps! He gave hundreds of moneys to spend drinking and eatting. Get the Cabana. It's cheap, and the boys are hot! You get a huge wonderful fruit platter, and Ice chest for your waters and your own booze, sun oils....awesome!!!
can I go back?
