I walked into the lobby and there was a fight between the guest and manager - the guest said he did not want to stay - the manger said no refund -can't you read the sign. The guest told me that the rooms are horrible, stinks and bathroom was dirty. so, I just left.
The hotel just looked bad.

Hotel bathroom not too clean. Breakfast is weak, kind of like bagel and cream cheese, coffee was good though. I mention location in subject. It is just off I-4 and 50th street so access to many areas fast. I-275 is busy on weekdays, avoid if can. Dont suggest driving into Ybor city, parking is a killer. Hotel is about 3 miles from Ybor, $9 cab ride. Can usually share with other guests, since most go that way at night. Dont let name fool ya like it did me. Dont suggest buses in weekends they run once an hour. bus 8 is 2 blocks away. 2 supermarkets nearby, plenty of fast food places within walking distance. Night club on premises with a latin flavor, not too busy. Head to Ybor but be careful. Great mix of club types. Dont expect 5 star accomodations, just a place to sleep. Pool is decent. Hope this helps.
STAY AWAY! This MOTEL is not clean or safe

1st off this is a MOTEL not a hotel at all. While I didn't have any issues, the motel is not in a safe location and did not have the best clients coming and going. The room had paint peeling from the sealing in several areas, large areas. The bathroom was just gross. The had recently re-plastered the walls and plaster was everywhere. All over the tub, toilet and flooring. It is also located right next to the highway and was very loud. I seriously considered not staying a second night, but I was only in the room to sleep so I dealt with it.
Saftey and security was such a concern, that I did not leave anything, I mean anything in the room when I left. I packed up my suitcase and stored it in my car during the day. I was there only, if I was traveling with my girlfriend, I would have had to check out as soon as I checked in.
I am in law enforcement and felt that this motel was like many problem motels in my area.

large courtyard, spacoius sleeping rooms....need to upgrade the bedding. Location is great near all attractions. The staff is great and polite, and they are definitely working on getting up to par by ongoing renovations. Overall, great value for the money we paid.
