Nice Find in a Hard Economy

Money is tight, but I still wanted to take my family somewhere. So we decided to save money on our way to Orlando by finding a cheap place to stay on our way. This worked. It really worked. We even had wireless and lucky charms in the morning. Front desk staff was nice, and everything was clean.
Economy, but better than average.

You will be really suprised that this hotel was as nice as it is. It was inexpensive, friendly, and clean. You do not pay much, and that being so, it is not luxurious, but I thought it was nice. The bagels at breakfast were nice.

I called after missing my first night to ensure I would have a room. I was not told there would be a period time without ANY staff to check in guests. I arrivered to find a sign telling me no-one was availablr until 11PM! Being exhausted, and needing to rise early, I had no choice but to book a room in a hotel where my daughter was staying. If I had been told there woud be no staff, I could have planned accordingly, instead of being rudely suprised. As a health care provider I have worked most holidays in my career. I certainly understand staff needing and wanting time with their familes. However, accomodations SHOULD have been made to help out-of -town guests. Very poor management in my view. I will make alternate arrangements the next time I visit the are

I have traveled a lot. I have seen many hotels, and for the budget minded this is an excellent place. I stayed in a newly renovated room and the bed was amazing. There was a microwave and refrigerator and good television channels. Wireless internet, and a continental breakfast that had more than donuts. The staff was pleasant and the room was clean.
The exterior of the property was very outdated, but it was neat. Pound for pound, an excellent value without much sacrifice. No, it was not luxurious, but it was amazing for what we paid.
The Asian restaurant in front of the property was simply amazing, the Hog Heaven had great ribs.
