very nice hotel

We were there the week-end before new year. The place is right off I-10, easy for in and out. There are few restaurants around, Shells & Exxon are near by. Few light poles give reasonable light to cover the hotel's parking lot (not too bright so you can go to sleep). we feel very safe (2 adults, 2 toddlers). The pool is heated for those who want to take a swim in the middle of the night. There is also a 6 persons jacuzzi (sp?). The hot breakfast in the morning is good (i'm not a picky eater).
I would stay here next time again.

I thought the rooms were nice. Mine was a smoking room and I appreciated that there are still rooms allotted for that. The staff was very friendly and housekeeping was excellent. I enjoyed having some workout equipment on site, but for a "3 star" motel, I was suprised at the scant amount of equipment to choose from. I really liked that there were washer/dryer units down the hall. This is third time I have stayed at the Wingate and I am sure I will stay there again.

Enjoyed our stay, Hotel and room was very clean, quiet, plenty of close parking, free breakfast, happy hour, newspaper, staff was courteous. We will stay here again!
