Staybridge - Internet Access Not Available; Support Terrible

I recently stayed at the Staybridge Suites while in Lubbock. One of the reasons I chose it was because of the internet access it supposedly provided. Unfortuantely, it was not available. Even more unfortuantely, I was given lies and broken promises.
I arrived around 4:00 pm and tried to use the internet. I could connect to the hotel's network, but not the internet. [For the techies among you, the hotel's router was not working correctly as a DHCP server and wasn't issuing IP addresses.] I called the support line, and was told that the problem would be fixed in 20 minutes.
I waited and tried again. Still no luck. I called support again and was told that level two support would call me back shortly. I waited and never received a call.
Between 4:00 pm and midnight, I called support five or six times. Each time I was either told that the problem would be fixed in twenty minutes or that I would get a call back shortly. None of that ever happened.
I then went down to the front desk and was basically told that there were known problems with the hotel's internet access, that it was set up incorrectly, and that there were no promises of when or even if it would be available.
Since internet access was critical to me because I had work to get done, had I been told about the problems at 4:00 pm I would have switched hotels. Because of lies and mis-information, I lost a night of work.
Given the number of good hotels in Lubbock, I will not go back to the Staybridge Suites and I can't recommend it to anyone who cares about internet access or who cares about quality support and being told the truth.

I think that the prices on game days there at Tech are way too much money. I don't think its fair to the people coming in for the game to have to pay double the amount in price just because its a game day. People are on a budget and if they want to stay at your facility they will have to give up something that they plan on doing because they want to stay at your place. If you have people that are coming in to see their children that are at Tech they don't want to spend that much money for a room that they will only sleep, shower in. I still think you all would get booked up because you are a nicer facility but don't overcharge the people especially if those people could give you more business. The amounts that you are charging is way to high for game days, don't do this to the people who make your business thrive and not go down hill. Also you need to make sure that your A/C and refridgerators don't make so much noise when they come on and off. That keeps people up and gets them cranky.
But all in all I love your place and what you have done with it but the cost is too high!!!

Great place to stay. Friendly staff, good breakfast, fast computer, right across from TTU. Only negative was pool/hot tub was a little dirty looking. Hot tub was not hot either.
